A cliché (from French) is a phrase, expression, or idea that has been overused to the point of losing its intended force or novelty, especially when at some time it was considered distinctively forceful or novel. The term is generally used in a negative context.
Clichés, we all avoid them like the plague (an excellent example of a cliché by the way), but can you make them mean something again? Make us laugh, cry or sigh form old phrases like "There is no place like home", "Love is blind" and "Money doesn't grow on trees"

Devious Comments
What we have to write is sth that will contain a literal meaning of a cliche phrase? For example for "Love is blind" one could write a funny story about Love that gets blinded by a punch in the eye or write sth that'll contain the mataphorical meaning, for instance 2 lovers thet ignore each other's drawbacks for the sake of love?
