The "Show Them You Love Them contest" is to benefit and raise awareness for the abused and unwanted animals you find in shelters worldwide. We are trying to help show the DA community the love that we pet owners have for our animals, and the pain and desolation of those lonely few who roam the streets without love and affection. This contest is open to everyone, whether you have an animal or not, and has two divisions: Amateur and Professional. Though it is photography (petography to be more specific) only! The Grand Prize is a 3 year subscription, monetary donations to humane societies within North America, a free print, 3 news articles and nearly 40 journal features!
This contest has received a fantastic amount of acclaim and has been sponsored by multiple clubs within the DA community! Please love this article if you support this contest and help spread the word by advertising in your journal! Even if you only get 3 or 4 page views per day, it can still make a difference in this contest!
This contest ends on Friday the 18th December 2009. If you want to enter, get your entries in quick! Here are all the entries so far. Also if you want to donate a prize, that would be fantastic too, just note me
I recently posted a thread in the thumbshare forum for people to show me a few pieces of work and get the chance to win a subscription... here are the winners!

All around the world deviants are bundling up for the cold winter. While inside with the fire blazing sipping from a mug of hot chocolate they fire up Photoshop...but what do they create? They look out the window to see the snow delicately falling and suddenly it hits them, the Joys of Winter!

thats true, but not as much so as a manual film, because i mean people who only use auto digitals wont know how to manually change F-stops and such. Whereas people who know those manual things can use digital as well. Well, thats just my opinion i guess. sorry if i offended you.
Ooh no, you didn't offend me at all.
I've come to the stage with my digital camera that I want to know more, so I'm going to slide myself into film.
Of course, it's everyone to their own these days.
^_^ Just try not to put people down who use digital
They learn a different side of photography in film than they do in digital I must admit

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm featuring a little part of the deviant community ! Asked few days ago, and requested everyone to show me their 3 favourites photos in their own gallery, and the 3 most popular!
So, here is it.
Follow me if you want to be in the next feature, I'll create a new poll for it soon!
