When I first became interested in photography I spent several days searching through my Dad's old photographs, kept in an old cabinet hidden away in the corner of our old house, overflowing with agaeing albums, polaroids and photo memorabilia from the 70's and 80's.
My dad was a plumber and enthousiastic photographer. This summer I've been back at the parents house and I set about the task of counting each and every photograph to find more than 3,000, spanning almost 3 generations and in which my Mum has inherited one way or another. My Dad died when I was young, but his photographs detail an entire life I never had a chance to know about and had me longing for one of the early film cameras, like a Holga or Rollei.
But enough about my nolstalgic adventures, I'm here because DeviantArt is one of the few (perhaps the only?) sites where retro art, old and revised,is not just alive but thriving.I hope you'll agree that the images below capture more than just the image, and for me, they represent something very precious indeed.
So take a trip back, relax and tune in.....enjoy.

Success is jumping around the room when you've done maybe 15 bars you absolutely totally know for certain works and it's what you've been looking for for six months and you've only just found it. That's success; that's why you carry on writing stuff.
awesome collection too. <3
