It was 6 years ago today that 2973 innocent lives were lost in what is now known as the most devastating attack on American soil.

Time Line of how everything changed in a matter of 3 hours:

7:30 am - A beautiful September morning
8:00 am - American Airlines Flight 11 departs Boston
8:14 am - United Airlines Flight 175 departs Boston
8:21 am - American Airlines Flight 77 departs Washington Dulles Airport
8:42 am - United Airlines Flight 93 departs Newark
8:46 am - Flight 11 hits the North Tower of the World Trade Center
9:03 am - Flight 175 hits the South Tower of the World Trade Center
9:37 am - Flight 77 hits the Pentagon
9:59 am - South Tower of the World Trade Center collapses
10:06 am- Flight 93 crashes in Shanksville, PA
10:10 am- Portion of the Pentagon collapses
10:29 am- North Tower of the World Trade Center collapses

I am a New Yorker. I had family who worked at the trade center. My poor father was beside himself. The twins, his baby brother and baby sister who he loved dearly were there. To our external relief they were on the lower floors and headed out as soon as they felt the impact.

For me, the stress and pain of that horrible time, when I was glued to TV is almost unbearable. I cannot even imagine how bad it is for those who lost loved ones. My thoughts and prayers go out to them as they are once again bombarded by the New York media with images from that terrible time.

its sad, can't imagine what the people close to the victims must have felt. but as far as I'm conserned the most devestating attack on american soil was when USA people attacked and stole the lands of the native americans.
