Brian's Books was one of a few longstanding and well established retail comic book stores in Silicon Valley. Brian retired and the store was briefly under new management in partnership with FanboyPlanet, but now has come under the ownership of Anne Warren Boersig (along with husband publish the Dorothy comic), and regulars of the store include the coterie of the off-kilter from the FanboyPlanet podcast like Lon Lopez of Moronlife.com. It is now Illusive Comics and Games

Now, outside of that little bit of trivia, there are two reasons why this news post is here. One, their grand opening has some talent showing up for signings, and two, they are interested in comic and comic-influenced art -be it original or [DA] prints- to show and sell on the walls (or rather one large wall) of the store.

With regards to the grand opening on the 13th of October, the guest list currently includes the following:

- Josh Dysart- writer of Swamp Thing, Unknown Soldier, Neil Young GN, Captain Gravity, Conan and the Midnight God, and Violet Messiahs
- Rafael Navarro- artist and creator of Sonambulo, artist on Hot Mexican Love, Mac Afro, animator for The Batman, Scooby Doo, Secret Saturdays
- Mark Masterson- writer of Dorothy, publisher of Dorothy and Tony Loco
- Ray Boersig- artist of Dorothy, publisher of Dorothy and Tony Loco
- Mike Wellman- publisher of Mac Afro, Start Trek The Manga, Gone South

Most like, yours truly and a few other local denizens of DA may descend upon the proceedings.
