Yes, They Do Shoot Horses.

=eevachu:iconeevachu: reports, July 16
The gist of things: the best medicine for an injured racehorse is (apparently) a bullet to the brain.

Well according to most professional racehorse trainers, that is.

(Normally, I don't like getting too involved in online animal rights drama, but I know there's a lot of horse lovers out and about on dA. This might just be common knowledge, but it was honestly news to me...)

WWW: 100,000 US Airforce Pilots Ordered To Stand Down

=FallenAngelOA:iconFallenAngelOA: reports, September 12, 2007
On September 14th, the AAC (Air Combat Command) of the United States is ordering 100,000 Active-duty airmen to "stand down" for what General Ronald Keys, Command Boss of the ACC, is calling a "command-wide safety day". This leaves a serious hole in America's defenses - and worst of all, it's open for anyone to see. This comes days after the new video by the Al Qaeda leader, Osama Bin Laden. This needs to be talked about by all Americans. Please, spread the word.

And I thought our nation was retarded before...

Darkness is not evil. It is simply hiding what lies within. It is what we don't know, and what we have yet to learn. We don't know it's potential, and label it as evil out of fear. I will not be one of those fools that hide in the light.

:( It's completely irresponsible of our nation to do this. Unless there's something they aren't telling us. Something bad.

Um, what about the part where several nuclear warheads were loaded onto plains and flown across the country by accident? It sounds to me like they're just trying to regroup and get their safety procedures in line.

The point is to have them ready on command to intercept anything coming our way. Even "Combat Ready" status requires 30 minutes to fuel planes, load missiles, submit planning. Regardless your argument is moot - The planes arn't allowed to fly. Even if they feel like they need to, as long as the General says "No", the airmen must abide to it.
=FallenAngelOA:iconFallenAngelOA: Sep 12, 2007, 7:47:38 PM
Perhaps, but they are leaving the entire nation open to attack while in this "safety day". If they would be reasonable about this, they shouldn't take America off alert all at once. And honestly, I don't believe that warheads were shipped via plane "by accident." Only the Commander-In-Chief can allow such subtle movement like that. And Warheads aren't just lying around, they're in highly secured facilities and are closely guarded.
