A Feminist Perspective on Questionable Images

*sick-snowangel:iconsick-snowangel: reports, July 1
Sex and sexuality in art are some of my favorite things, and certainly sometimes arousal is part of this, but more importantly, it is FAR MORE than about simple arousal, as porn is. One of my deviantart friends, :iconcypherthepanicartist: , said that art of a sexual nature can “ provoke thoughts about our dreams, fears, desires, and place in the world"...yes! Well done art that deals with sex exposes the soul of the subject or act in question, not just the naughty bits. I feel that any kind of work on this site that looks at sexuality in a thoughtful or artistic or critical or celebratory, etc. way is certainly appropriate content for an art site, because, of course, this work is actually ART.

deviantART Special Sign bug fix

~gambader:icongambader: reports, September 14, 2007
What is this about?
This is a script intended for Mozilla users with GreaseMonkey add-on. The script runs after the page is loaded and fixes the annoying display bug of accents and non-english letters. Now when you edit a message which contained the special signes characters you will see them as you had writen them. Comme il faut.
This fixes also the title bug in notes.

"Give me an example already I hate reading long text"
For example you will see this in an edit box/title:
בדיקה
The script will translate it automaticly to:
בדיקה
which is the hebrew word for testing.

Where to install it?
The script can be found here(just click the "install it" button on the left.)

GreaseMonkey from here:

What is GreaseMonkey?
Greasemonkey is a Firefox extension that allows you to customize the way webpages look and function.

Hundreds of scripts are already available for free. And if you're the tinkerer sort, you can also write your own.

Am I liking the fact that you will use my script?
Well actually my stand is that user scripts(or GM scripts) should not be used to fix bugs as an ultimate solution. In sites it should add/change features or do whatever you like except that.

I think deviantART, a multilingual site, should consider these bugs as critical and the faster this script will be redered deprecated the better.

I will approch a DA stuff member and ask him to address this problem.

Now, write a journal (and add hebrew translation) already :D

We will have to wait(and use this script till then).
