Hello everyone! This is *Unrestricted-Stock and we would like to officially introduce our community.

Firstly, we would like to clarify what unrestricted stock is. This stock is shared under a license that states the user might include the stock in their commercial or non-commercial work, inside or outside deviantART, and does not need to, as a mandatory condition, ask for permission written or other, forcefully give credit (note that there are certain works that make it impossible for the artists to give credit), or limit to a determinate use, being able the user to display a stock photography in a layout for example, “as is”, without any kind of post-processing.


Unrestricted resources refers to any stock image, brush pack, texture, or other submission with the purpose of being used to create Artwork, or any of the following:

Websites, journals and banners
Literary tags and images
Advertising, publishing, portfolios
Games, packaging, electronic media, etc.
And of course on dA and offsite prints

The idea of bringing unrestricted stock to deviantART was born out of the need of a community for all deviantART members to share their unrestricted resources or serve as a directory for other members to find unrestricted resources and stock more easily and conveniently.

Because… why look for it elsewhere when we have it here at home? Out of our community polls we’ve found out many artists look for unrestricted stock outside deviantART…and why?
We have fabulous stock photographers, graphic designers, brush makers within our community!

Who is *Unrestricted-Stock directed to?
- existing unrestricted stock accounts on deviantART

- stock artists among us that have stock they wish to list as "unrestricted", but do not wish for those stock deviations to be confused with "restricted" stock already present in their gallery.

- On the other end: to all artists, graphic designers, web developers, etc, that have the need of stock without restriction (note that the Standard restriction for all stock art still apply, read our License Agreement


Are we suggesting unrestricted stock is more valuable than the restricted stock we all know?
Absolutely not! The purpose of our community is not going against any restricted stock account or community, and staff of *Unrestricted-Stock do have restricted stock accounts as well.
We simply believe there are particular instances when artists/designers might prefer the use unrestricted stock for different reasons.
