"PICTURE ME A SONG" CONTEST!!

You only have a little over a month to enter *assorted-nuts' "Picture Me A Song" Contest

WHAT IS IT?
This is a Two Category contest where you are being challenged to either create a deviation that visually represents lyrics from a song, or you can choose to write song lyrics that interprets a deviation.

All of the themes from the song lyrics or deviations relate directly to the issues that we at Assorted-Nuts and others at dA can relate to or in other ways acknowledge. So don't think about who originally wrote the lyrics or who created the deviations, the sex of the original creator shouldn't play a part on your choice. Allow the words or the image to move you, then you know that you made the correct choice.

WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?

WHO CAN ENTER?
Open to ALL deviants! Non-members are welcome to join Assorted-Nuts, but they must adhere to the club's policy for joining.

HOW MANY ENTRIES?
Each deviant can submit TWO entries in any combination; i.e., Two Visuals; or, Two Prose; or, One Visual and One Prose. Each entry will be judged individually under the appropriate category.

HOW WILL THE ENTRIES BE JUDGED?
There will be a panel of judges. The final entries will be judged on 1) how well it interprets the lyrics or image, 2) for it's original concept, 3) how much effort was put into the deviation, 4) and the quality of execution. Literature category will also be judged on how well the prose reads like lyrics to a song.

WHEN ARE THE ENTRIES DUE?
The entries must be recieved by 9:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, November 5th.

For the Visual Category you're to create a deviation that illustrates preselected lyrics from a song.

For the Literature Category you're to write song-like lyrics that describe a preselected deviation.


Below is my deviation "Fly Away Love". It is animated and you can view the original of the heart flying out the window by clicking the thumb.

Under the image are the words that I wrote. Notice the verse-chorus-verse pattern with a bridge as in song lyrics
