So..... as most of the long-term members of #DAUnderworld know, every year, we do a halloween contest, in our opinion, it is perfect territory!

Last year was A gothic Horror on Halloween. this year it's an Underworld FanART contest.

Before I start on how to enter and such I'd like to give a very large thanks to =ArtisticAunJuli for coming up with the brilliant idea, thanks so much, I think the member will really enjoy it this year.


Okay, here we go!

What is it?
Draw any character/scene from the movie in any way with any medium. It can be realistic or your interpretation/style of a character (I.E. you can draw Selene realistically/cartoon/anime ect.) No Poetry or Prose please. And if you give it a Halloween twist, all the better...

_{*Note: If you do a photo manipulation you must have proper copyright information and permission from the artist to use their work, we will have someone checking up on this if you decide to use such things, if it's permission in a comment, do us a favor and link it with everything else while submitting. This means no pictures from the movie.}

What do you have to do to enter?
Post your original artwork into YOUR gallery. In the description you must mention that you've created your artwork for "DAU's Halloween contest." When you are ready, send a note to *DAUnderworld with a link to your entry in your gallery. After the link we'd like you to give us a brief description on what your piece has to do with Halloween [if not already obvious].

Submissions must be newly submitted to fit the description(s) of the contest [so after a journal is posted, announcing the opening of your ability to get your submissions sent in, then you may post and send in.]

And do we get prizes for winning? Absolutaly.
- Grand Prize winner will receive a 1 year subscription.
(Best out of ALL categories, 1 prize awarded)**

- First Prize winner will receive a 3-month subscription
(Best from each category, 4 prizes awarded)**

- Honorable Mention will receive a 1-month subscription
( 1 prize awarded)

_{**The winner of the Grand Prize will be the winner of their category, but they will not receive BOTH Grand and First Prize, only the Grand Prize.}

When should we have these by?
All entries sent to *DAUnderworld by October 20th, 2007.
All entries will be posted in the DAU journal (in thumb form) for public viewing through the October 20th-30th.
Winners will be announced on the 31st... Halloween.

All the winners will be featured among the DAU journals throughout the remainder of the year (November and December) and if acceptable to the winners, their winning deviations placed in the DAU gallery. Comments will be disabled, but we will put a link to your entry in the description so anyone wishing to comment may do so in your own gallery, not DAU's. Also, don't forget that by us posting your entries in the journal, especially the winners, you will be getting a LOT more exposure, meaning tons of people looking at your artwork, so if you like and want pageviews, here's your chance!
