What is Zutara, and what's so great about it that it's talked about all over DeviantART/other sites?

If you go around the internet a little bit, you will find these questions being asked. So, well, what is Zutara?

Zutara is a pairing in Avatar: The Last Airbender, and it is an increasingly popular 'ship.' A ship is a pairing in a fandom that consists of two people, sometimes regardless of gender, whom you would want to go together. Think that Zuko and Katara would be a good couple in the show "Avatar: The Last Airbender"? Then you are a Zutara shipper, or a 'Zutarian.' The opposing ship, which is more 'Canon' and also increasingly popular, is 'Kataang,' or the pairing of Katara and Aang in the AtLA series.

Zutara is more of an 'opposites attract' relationship, where there may be many objections to their relationship if it ever happens. Katara, the girl in the relationship, is a 14 year old water tribe member, a natural healer, and Zuko, the boy in the relationship, is a 16, maybe 17 year old fire nation prince, so you see how they oppose each other. Many Zutarians believe that because ying and yang oppose each other and work in perfect harmony, the two characters could also work in perfect harmony once together. Many oppose with this, saying that their differences would break them apart, but it depends on what interests you.
