Steampunk is more than a "look" -- it's a growing subculture that may have started in the 1980s and the word itself may have been coined by the science fiction writer K.W. Jeter. It usually revolves around sci-fi, fantasy, and the Victorian era after the advent of steam power, but with many present-day high-tech devices either modded to simply look Victorian-made or built entirely from scratch. But if you think Steampunk is only about fashion, then think again, because many things like computer keyboards and guitars have been modded and Steampunked for quite some time now!

The 4th in the series of articles showing the wide and varying work made by the members of the ever growing Etsy Sellers group.
The pieces have been picked to feature by the artists themselves, please take some time out to browse, comment and even add their work to your favourites.
ps. deviantart also doesn't even allow you to know who has purchased your print. art becomes a commodity, which is fine, but not what all people want. on etsy, you communicate with your buyer/artisan and there is a personal connection made between the person who creates and the person who consumes. it's a different type of site. they both have their pros and cons. i sell on both, but i sell much more on etsy and i get to meet the people who buy my art and whose arts and crafts i buy. it's a nice remedy to anonymity.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features selected high quality art products that caught our eyes when they passed through our print review queue. Check out the cutting edge works your fellow print artists have submitted in the past week!
