Okay, so welcome to a special edition of Mini-DDs! Today was my birthday, & as usual, I went out & celebrated it with my family...Now it's time to celebrate it here! And just like last year, I'm doing it by asking some choice Deviants for some of their all-time favorites here at DA (little presents, if you will), & then featuring 23 of them for my 23rd birthday (now think of them as the candles)!

Sorry about the little delay, by the way...I had a dinner to go to. Plus, I was sure I'd end up getting some last-minute suggestions...Guess what? I did get some!! Besides, since DA's on Los Angeles time, it's still Sepetember 30th in the eyes of this site anyway!

A fun tribute to one of the greatest games ever made, Mega Man 2's Eight Bosses by ~yooki42 is an amazing piece of art that pays tribute to some classic Robot Masters in such a slick & cool style. Frankly, if you don't fall in love with this cartoony little number, then you may honestly be braindead.

...And straight out of a promo for The Outer Limits comes we are watched by ~alexandreev. A little creepy, a little surreal, a little humorous...In a way, it's a simple concept, but it seems to offer so much more. And any amazing piece of work that can pull that off deserves at least some respect...

Candy Machine by ~mortalitas...Well, I will say that this definitely feels like the result of what would happen if you mixed LSD & taffy. I'll also say that this is an eye-catching, smooth, & colorful piece of abstract art, & one that definitely deserves a spot in your favourites.

Mixing anthro artwork with fantasy elements tends to produce interesting results...& in the case of Watching landscape by ~JadeGL, it also results in one impressive painting featuring a great style & some cool character designs. Don't pass up on this one!

Furious Angels by *kimbo-demonica...It does help if you've listened to the song as well, but much like the title suggests, this is one amazing painting that perfectly showcases both beauty & power with such an eye-catching piece of work. Bravo, kimbo!

Right off the bat, Dolphin by ~b0tack hit me with a barrage of intense, vibrant colors & a trippy psychedelic style that was so hard, it took me a few minutes to actually notice the dolphins. That is just some captivating & mind-blowing stuff there, dammit...So props to it!

I have always admired *klar's work quite a bit...He creates works of fantasy such as lambs and incense with quite a passion, utilizing a neat style, great characters, & perfect colors as to make it all seem as though it came out of some classic book of fairy tales...Just so damn sweet.

Tank V2 by ~GraphicStreetRacer is the kind of abstract art I like the most...Nice & colorful, crammed full of detail, featuring some nice designs, & drawn with such a flow to it that it becomes impossible for you to take your eyes off it. Quite some trippy & amazing stuff indeed...

Requiem by ~hf-zilch...Wow. I really have no words to describe how amazing this is...It's just beautiful overall. Beautiful. Everything from the woman to the sky to background to the demon(?) is just so beautifully drawn & detailed...Actually, it's more like a mix of chaos & beauty, but that just makes it even more intriguing...

Futurama: Super Happy Fun Show by *spacecoyote...Well, the mere fact that this is a pic of the cast of one the best damn cartoons ever made might've been enough to get it a spot here. But drawn so astoundingly well with such a funky style & an amazing attention to detail (Seymour!), it just becomes irresistible. Damn irresistible.

They say you should never judge a book by it's cover...But let's face it, Snowball in Hell Cover by =alexds1 is just so damn fun on it's own, it makes you wanna go out & get your hands on the actual comic. Funky characters, sweet style, cool colors...It's just so damn fine that you can't resist faving this! Bonus points for the cat's expression!

Pegasus Divided by ~apocryph...Oh man. This is just so gloriously twisted, haunting, attractive, & mesmerizing...I just knew this was a winner the second I laid eyes upon it. Everything trippy is nicely twisted, smooth, & perfectly drawn, but what really seels this is the way it feels like some otherworldly constellation...It's just so damn unique & awe-inspiring. Let's face it, sometimes you just come across a Deviation that makes you go "Awww..." so much that you just have to fave it...& My Cookie... by *ChakotayDgryphon is definitely that Deviation. Cute as can be, but also drawn very damn nicely with quite a nice amount of detail, right down to all the little grooves in the Oreo. If you don't end up loving this...Then you have no soul.

Well, I do have a bit of a Camp Lazlo addiction going on right now, so this was a no-brainer. Seriously, Pirates Of The Leaky Lake 2 by ~DrewBlueberry is just pure fun, plain & simple. So nicely colorful, stylish, & humorous...All I have to say is that Joe Murray would defintiely be proud.

Adult Pullo by ~gottschalk. I don't really know what it is...But man, it's just so beautiful, twisted, unique & a little surreal that you can't resist it. Such a sweet character design as well...I can only imagine the story behind this guy...All in all, this is one impressive piece of work you need to check out.

Well, I thought I'd end this little special occasion on a first...The first piece of 3-Dimensional Art to be featured here. Regal by =Donut007 is just so out there, funky, & beautiful, right down to the barrage of orange & the twinkling stars...Truly one that deserve all the attention it can get.
