I want to start by giving a huge thanks to EVERYONE who participated in celebrating my 6th year as a survivor of breast cancer (WHICH IS EXACTLY TODAY!) as well as bringing awareness and hope to this dreaded disease. I sincerely appreciate the donators to this cause and gift givers in this contest. Thank you $

TRADITIONAL ART
1ST PLACE:

Motherhood by

**A beautiful and thoughtful image by a sweet man paying honor to his wife and little girl. The blonde girl looks just like my sweet daughter Mandi and reminded me of she and I.
2nd Place:

Think Pink by

These flowers were given to this artists mother by their father for Mothers Day, then painted by the artist. The artist wanted this image to be the FIRST thing they ever submitted to deviantArt and be able to say they were part of something amazing
.they succeeded.
3rd Place:

Hope by

Baby pink ribbon accompanying a lovely drawing of a strong looking woman with hope and determination.

Consider one of these as a PRINT for your collection as half the profits will go to breast cancer research!
FRACTAL ART
1st Place:

The Pink Mandala by

I fell in love with this the minute I saw it. FULL VIEW is a definite must! It oozes pink and girliness and I adore the clever integration of pink ribbons within.
2nd Place:

Thinking Pink by

I loved the different shade of pink along with the satiny feel given with the lighting effects.
3rd Place:

This very unique shaped fractal caught my eye and I really enjoyed examining all the details in it. The pearl really adds to the image as well!

by

Not often you see Ida in pink and Oh My does she shine in it! I adored this piece right off the bat and I can NOT wait to use it in a manipulation! This is a gorgeous dress that I would love to have for myself..LOL and the pink ribbon accessory just completes it beautifully.

Another that I can NOT wait to manipulate!

The simple dress with a lovely hot pink hat will make a wonderful image in your creations!

DIGITAL ART
1st Place:

Celebrating the Life by

I adored this from the beginning. The sisterly love reminded me of when my younger sister cut of her long thick hair and gave it to Locks for Love while I was bald and going through chemo. Sisters are wonderful beings.
2nd Place:

Renaissance by

I love the innocence in this image. Her face is so angelic and milky. Very pleasing to my eye.

3rd Place:

When Petals Fall by

An amazing image with lots of details and attention to those details. The dress is absolutely beautiful and please take a moment to read the poem written along with it. Just lovely.

This comfy blankie would warm anyones heart. In her comments it reads: A wish for the health and long life of breasts of all sizes and colors. And I can so see this in her blanket pattern! Genius!

Being Aware Around Your Neck by

Such delicateness to this soft pink necklace so painstakingly put together bead by bead (has to be hundreds!) and clever strings of dangling beads added uniquely in the shape of the pink ribbon of awareness! Love it!
POETRY/PROSE
1st Place:

----- by =
Lalianna-Nyrobi
Another piece about a mother and daughter that hits personally and I think of my beautiful 6 yr old Mandi. Consider a print of this one as well as proceeds will go to Breast Cancer research. Tis on my own WishList!
2nd Place:

Think Pink by

This one blew me away. Please take a moment and read it. It goes through all the stages that I felt during my breast cancer journey and this is done so cleverly that each line as you go down it, the first letter spells out T-H-I-N-K P-I-N-K! Bravo!
3rd Place:

This Cancer by

Another one that really hit close to home for me. It describes how at first you HAVE cancer and all of the negative things to go along with it and finally where I am now
I HAD cancer
it does not have me, though. I OVERCAME it.

Give all these wonderful winners a big round of applause. I give ALL of you applause for helping take part in this celebration/awareness! I
WILL see you next year when we celebrate year 7 in the 2008 THINK PINK III

You can bet on it!!
I love you all,
Jen
