Here is my test for you…….

Objective: Draw a composition involving stick figure(s)………..seriously! But there’s a catch--- you must represent the stick figures in an artistic way… Play around with the lines, people!! This contest is designed to level how good you are as a true artist by taking a simple design and turning it into a masterpiece.

How to Submit Your Entry: First, let me know that you are interested by leaving a comment in my journal. Then, when you have completed it and submitted it as a deviation in your account, note me with a link to your entry OR if you are unsure of how to do the “link thing” Send a note saying so, and tell me the deviation name so I can find it in your gallery. Be sure to subject your note “stick figure contest” ….or something along those lines. –I’m very lenient with the rules here, guys. Please send in your entry no later than OCTOBER 30th. Results will be posted NOVEMBER 1st.

Limitations:
1. One entry per artist
2. Must be your own work…….come on people, you know that.
3. Be creative! ......don’t be limited by anything else….except for #1 and #2.

Prize: The top three most creative artists will be featured in my “Analysis of the Creative Artist” Journal next month with your avatars and my artistic terminology that relates to you! –NICE!- So PLEASE enter the contest! It’s a fun and interesting way to learn about what you can do with simplicity!

Judging: I will be judging. Also, for every entry I evaluate, I will constructively analyze and comment on. I am not judging ability, I am judging artistry!

Advice from the Judge
* Don’t be afraid to use color, line weight, organic/geometric shapes, or any other element of design.
* You can involve stick figure animals and anthropomorphic creatures too.
* Remember; simplicity is the key.
* Think abstractly: Keep realism to a minimum.
* Your stick figures should be interestingly placed in the composition.
* Think about the style of your stick figures—do they look like they’ve been drawn with a certain tool? Medium? Texture?
