reports, October 5, 2007DeviantArt is being shot at by my school because it was said to be inappropriate and unsuitable for High School students to go to. Not everyone knows about the site and no one has just went to the site just to see naked pictures (that’s why the site was made with filters right?). Anyway the people I introduced this site to, they have only been on the site to learn to draw, print out pictures to look for inspiration or look at the poetry that makes up this website. I don’t think its right that a teacher checks out the website just to look for something negative to say about it. The teacher that went to the site says it’s a site for porn and the word Deviant is a sexually suggestive word and not school appropriate,he says i can get expelled for going to this site that's how bad it is. They already blocked the chatroom so they should have no worries on that. So what's so wrong about this site?

My main purpose in doing a monthly feature about (to my point of view) 'the best visual art' is to put in the same level as well wellknown artists and popular creations as unknown artists and under-exposed creations. Artists need to be supported. So don't be shy! Visit their pages, support them by faving, commenting, and when you see a deviation that you like also view their gallery entirely, like that you can decide if you will devwatch them or not. Viewing only a deviation (what is great) is not enough  And if you want to see your favorite visual artists or art selected to be in this feature for the next month, send me via note the links/thumbs!
