Lighting is tricky, but good creative lighting can take a good picture and make it outstanding. The more creative the lighting the more likely the image is to attract the eye. Light is essential for a good picture. Whether the light is natural or artificial we have ways to bend it and mold it to have the desired effect. Sometimes this involves positioning, sometimes coloring (by the way I've never seen a person who looks good orange.... don't use orange light.....). I encourage photographers, new and old, to go out and try something new with lighting. You never know what you may discover.
