*The Contest* excerpt from Intro:
The time of man has come and gone, and the Earth is in havoc.
The gods, sustained by the faith of the very humans they have all but cleansed from the Earth, desperately vie for the last stands of faith that tie them to existence.
They gather the last remaining humans and safely within the Penumbra, safe from harm but still able to watch the events that were about to unfold.
In a clash greater than that of the end-times itself, the gods become locked in a battle that would decide the fate of the Earth for millennia to come. Losers would merely fade from existence without the faith of the few who remain-
But the winner would rise above them all and claim for himself all that remains.
The premise is simple. All you have to do is take a classic god (or create an original one), and draw, animate, or otherwise create him battling it out with other gods. For a great list of deities, visit

Rules
1. To join, just send at least one picture of your chosen god (a colored character sheet is best), plus a small introduction piece of your character (be it a comic, animation, or whatever). Also, we'd like to have a small biography of your chosen deity, so that he/she can be better portrayed by your opponents. You can send us all this information by note, with an appropriate title, of course (eg. contest entry)
2. We accept original deities and already existing ones. If you do create your own god though, please use some creativity, and don't make it completely ridiculous. (The jury reserves the right to veto characters.)
3. No monotheistic gods or omnipotence allowed. We also won't consider "invincibility" or "supreme weather control" as abilities either.
4. First come, first served. If someone has already submitted Zeus, you can't. Same goes for an original deity.
5. Violence is allowed (This is a deathmatch), but please try to keep it under the "Mature" rating (no excess gore).
6. We had wanted to say "no sexism, racism, pornography whatsoever", but the problem is that some gods are, by their very nature, sexist and racist. So here's the deal: Use your better judgment, and try not to be too offensive.
7. We (the judges) don't want to be used in your entries, so don't draw us.
8. If you want to forfeit, you'll have to send a note to the admins or *Battle-League's account.
9. This contest also features "random rules". That means that for each round, an additional rule or condition will come into effect. (nothing major) The first & last rounds, though, will be free of any additional rules.
*Prizes*
The
1st prize winner will receive a 1 year subscription to DA, and 2 commission art pieces from one of the judges, and a feature in both the club, and the admin's journals.
The
2nd prize winner will receive a print of their choosing worth up to 20$, 2 commission art pieces from one of the judges, and a feature in both the club, and the admin's journals.
And the
runner-ups will receive features in the club and admin journals.
