Many people may already know that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The pink ribbon icons are popping up all over everything and the education campaigns are in full-swing.

Due to the tireless efforts of researchers around the world, advances in early detection and treatment has lead to a continuing trend of a drop in the number of fatalities due to breast cancer. With continued efforts and education we can keep this trend alive.

With continued donations we can help those working hard to find a cure or help those diagnosed get through treatment and find support. Breast cancer awareness shouldn't end when the monthly campaign is over.

To that end, I'd like to offer a one-of-a-kind creation of my own, 50% of the profits to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The remaining 50% will go towards buying a brick in the name of a woman who inspired me by surviving breast cancer twice and lived her life determined to be a survivor.




So many of us think so highly of these worthy causes and yet think "someone else will donate, my $5 won't mean much," but really, to a woman with breast cancer or her family, it means everything.

We are a community of incredibly talented people, why not create something for the purpose of a charity auction yourself?
