In recent months critique has been on a rapid decline on dA. People have seemed almost scared to post honest opinions and constructive criticisms, or even reasons why they like the work of yours they have jsut added to their favourites. Now we have a solution! *
CritiqueMeClub and its associated dAmn channel
#CritiqueMe are here to help thos people who want to give, recieve and generally appreciate CRITIQUE!
You dont have to be an expert in your field to give critique. If you explain to an artist what it is or isnt you like about a piece of their work no matter how simple that reason is, it helps that artist grow. Also the more critque you give, the more confident you get at giving it, and the more people are likely to help you learn by giving you helpfull constrcutive critique! Maybe they will even give you a few lessons on how to improve in the areas you arte unsure on!
Critique is the door way to a much more exciting experience of the Art Community! I hope that you will be joining us either in the club or the dAmn channel or both! In the dAmn channel you can post thumbs on particular works that you want critique on or jsut ask for general advice on your gallery. Simply by logging into you the channel is to show your support for out cause! As for the club, well its there as the backbone to the dAmn channel, and is still very much in its early stages. So what are we going to do with it? Well for a starts its definately not going to be just another ClubGallery! We will feature people, there will be competitions (theres one running now thats open to members only so join today!) but this is as much in common as we want with your 'normal' clubs on dA! So what else are we going to do? Well thats where you the artsits on dA come in! We want to know what you want from YOUR critique club! So come along, add us to your watch list then drop us a note with your suggestions on what you want frrom the club!

Comments need to be more than just 'Good Shot.' 'Cool.' etc. If you like something than tell the person why you like it! If you don't like it tell them why, and what they might be able to do differently next time or what they could do to fix it (be nice!).
This is true regardless of what style or medium you do as well; if you're looking at a painting but you're a photographer you may not be able to offer technical advice but you could at least say how it made you feel!
If it's a different style than you usually like than tell them, 'well this isn't exactly my style but I like this about your ___, but I don't like this about your ___.'
If someone's part of the club you know they won't bite your head off! and they'll probably return the favor!
So Go Ahead People, Critique!
