Best of... weekly photomanip features #137

*Iardacil:iconIardacil: reports, December 14
This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
We choose photomanipulations that have made an impression on us from the past week. We do not base our choices on preference or friendships and we have never featured ourselves. We simply pick photomanipulations showing creativity, technique and quality at the same time, and are simply eye-catching. As we are also stock artists, we will only feature the works that give proper credits to stock artists.

Unburied Treasures 74

`Aeires:iconAeires: reports, October 11, 2007
Digital

Featured digital artist: ~Traelium

It makes me excited when I find a gallery where the artist is trying more than one type of art and doing it all well. A great gallery is one that makes you want to keep going to the next page. He has a gallery like that, take a look.

Photography

Featured photographer: ~Baudie

Every week I dig through personal galleries to figure out who to single out and feature. I chose this artist because he sees the art in the mundane world around us. His "Levels" image blew me away, the contrast between the red and black is awesome.

Traditional

Featured traditional artist: =Boggleboy

When it comes to narrowing down what images to feature, this was the hardest gallery yet. His sculpting skills are mad, each and every image is so packed with detail. If you are interested in artisan crafts, don't miss his work.

Mixed Galleria

Every week it seems like one of the sections makes me go insane looking for art to feature, usually it's photography. This week I'm happy with all the areas, hope you are as well.

It's difficult. A long time ago I used to hit specific galleries that I knew didn't get as much exposure. After a while I realized I was spending all my free time each week for one article. 10 or less faves takes a good amount of time as it is so that's what I run with. Thank goodness the news is open and people are helping each section as well as they can.
