Okay I'm sure we've all seen people who have like hundreds of people on there watch list but only got a few on theirs. Then I'm sure we've all seen great artistes who have like 5 million people watching them but they are only watching like 20 or so people. But how do you get people like the great artists to watch you, or how do you even get them to help you on a piece of art you are working on? It just makes my head spin. I'm one of those people who like others to view my art and maybe leave a comment on how to improve something but no body does. I also wouldn't mind if I could get some really good artists to watch me and help me to improve or just even comment on a picture I have done. Well I'm sure I am not the only one who wants that. The only thing I can think of to do is try and get to know other artistses but yay I'm sure thats Fing hard considering not many of them want to talk or don't even have the time to even speak to you but I think if everyone would just take a little time to help people out a bit on a picture REGARDLESS of what they draw, photograph, write, so on that people may feel better on what they do. But there is a chance that they might get upset for what people say but think of it this way, these people are just trying to help you improve so theres no reason to yell at them if you don't like there comment.
I've been on DA for a couple of years now and I know how it feels to want people to come and give me comments on my art or to even give me some pointers as to what I can fix. Lets just say that I haven't recived any of that really. I get a few comments just saying that this or that looks really cool or I like the emotion in the picture. These comments are nice but they won't help me improve. I get frusterated at my self when I can't figure something out and I have no one to help me so I try to figure it out and it looks wrong no matter what. Even if I post the picture and ask for some help on the pose....ect... I don't get any comments on it or I don't get very helping comments. I'm sure some people feel this way and that some people feel bad if they try to help someone out. But for the people who want some help and the comment says Critisisem incouraged or Advanced critisem go ahead give them some! It won't hurt them if you are trying to help. (It may feel like your pointing out their faults and yes only in their picture you are but you are trying to help them not hurt them) I'm sure your all like 'How do we even find these people or get them to notice us' I'm sure if you were to send a note to someone asking them if they can give you some pointers on a picture they might just do it. I'm not saying spam some ones msg box with help notes just leave a msg on someones page and see if they can help you if not then try someone else. Or for those who want to find people to help theres a litttle button at the bottom of the DA page that says RANDOM DEVIANT you can click on that and go to some random persons page.(Leave a comment regardless if they need help or not I'm sure they'd enjoy it) There are tons of people on DA who I am sure that are willing to help out if they can. I'm also sure if you are afraid to live a critism write in your comment "This picture is very beautiful but I see a spot that could use some working on. If you would like to know what I think can help then please send me a message and I can give you some help." Its not like your forceing your critisim on them or that you are dis-ing there picture you just have a little comment that could help them out and it is up to them if they want to hear it or not. Its not like you didn't try to help its just that they would rather it stay the way it is. One last thing is you don't need to be a expert just try and help out some.
