Over 30 years ago, hunters and their advocates in Congress helped lead the fight to pass the Airborne Hunting Act and ban the use of airplanes and helicopters to hunt wolves and other wildlife.
Unfortunately, politicians in Alaska are exploiting a loophole in federal law to resurrect aerial hunting and are trying to disguise it as "wildlife management" -- against the wishes of the people of Alaska who have twice voted to end this barbaric practice. Even worse, Wyoming and other states could soon follow suit.
Responsible hunters know that allowing private citizens in low-flying aircraft to kill wolves from above isn't wildlife management and it isn't ethical hunting. And they know that chasing wolves to exhaustion and shooting them at point-blank range isn't right.
Urge your Member of Congress to take a stand against unethical hunting by cosponsoring the Protect America's Wildlife (PAW) Act. Take action online at:

The PAW Act (H.R. 3663), introduced by Congressman George Miller, would close the loophole in the Airborne Hunting Act and end unethical aerial hunting for good. But we need Members of Congress to join his effort.
These animals have done nothing wrong and they are being killed just because people like killing animals. What if this was your dog they were going to kill or you're pet? Wouldn't you want to stop them?!
Devious Comments
Is any hunting really ethical? I don't see why shooting them from the ground makes it some how more acceptable than shooting them from a plane. Unless we're talking about native people who need the meat to survive (which we're not) its all completely frivolous killing.
