reports, July 11Okay so if you haven't noticed V6 was launched late last night/early morning (depending on your time zone) to mixed reviews.
We as admins have had a little more time with it than the rest of the masses and as such I thought I would volunteer my knowledge with whomever is interested. Rather than complain that everything is different perhaps I can help show you how much more user friendly and easier the site is to navigate.
So... if you have a question concerning V6 please ask it. If you know of someone who is having troubles, please link them here. I will be updating this journal with your questions and hopefully answers to said questions.

Welcome to the weekly Help Desk news. In these weekly updates we will attempt to bring you the most up to date information, as well as provide some helpful hints for super duper deviantART fun.

I have received a lot of reports this week that users scraps are still in their main galleries since months now. If you suffer from this issue, please refer to this article here for the fix to this issue.
Ewm's Corner
This week I would like to discuss the use of extensions. Extensions also referred to as user-scripts or add-ons can add features and such to your browser to enhance your online experience entirely such as an adblock extension or only affect your experience with a particular website such as deviantART only extensions.
While extensions can enhance your online experience they can lead to some disadvantages this can be seen especially in deviantART only extensions. Due to the fact that these extensions are not produced by deviantART they can lead to some accidental malfunctions of the site especially with the submission process. Adblocker extensions have also been known to prevent deviations with the word Ad in their deviation title from showing up.
If you have any extensions and are experiencing any issues with using deviantART we advise that you first try turning off all of your extensions to see if one or more may be causing a conflict. When extensions are turned off and the issue still occurs then it is not due to extensions; however, if this appears to solve your problem it is a result of extension use. You can turn your extensions on and try to narrow down which extension or combination of extensions appears to be causing the issue. By finding which extension is causing the issue you can not only stop the issue from occurring but also notify the creator of the extension to let them be aware of this issue.

As I'm sure a large majority of you have noticed by now, some changes have been made to our Mature Content filtering system. This isn't a bug and we are very much aware of the changes that have taken place. What you're seeing are some of the final upgrades to the system. It's always been intended for the system to exclude minors from viewing submissions that have been tagged "mature".
This is something that effects the whole of the community. Your thoughts and feedback, suggestions and even your disagreements want to be heard! So please be sure to read the following links and let us know what you think:

Underage deviants have reported the inability to see their own work if it's marked "mature". This is known and it's being worked on.
As I pointed out before, the ultimate change to the system is not a bug so inquiries beseeching us to "fix it" if you are a minor will only be met with a short explanation of the changes and a link pointing you in the direction of these journals.
