Yes..the world lost a talented performer and artist in Michael Jackson..but there are many more tragic deaths occurring daily all over the world that go unnoticed. Please give these heroes your prayers and thanks too.

I'm thrilled to announce the second round of Critic's Picks, which again are chosen from as broad a range as possible and this week there are deviations that make you laugh, make you cry, and make you take a step back. As usual, lots of people sent me suggestions, which is great, and I selected the best.
1.
halflight by `dibbi is an incredible photograph. simple, well-compsoed and interested, the model's eyes really draw you in. the image quality is fantastic, and the lighting is wonderful. I managed to spot this one myself...
2.
duplex en legnano noche by ~c4lito3d is not a photograph. It is a 3D rendering. That is how good this deviation is. Another deviation that I spotted by myself (sorry guys) this is simply superb. Oh, and I really like the chairs

The Ugly Duckling is a beautiful piece of digital art, full of warmth, character and hope. Although at first sight it seems a little messy, this really adds power to the piece, and I invite you all to look at its eyes - aww...

Recipe for Hot Chocolate by ~JohnLanley - this man is a genius. READ IT. How original is that?! I am so jealous tha he thought of it first! Tell me, does anyone else know of anyone who has uploaded recipes on DeviantART?
