7 Ingredients Of Good Corporate Design

`manicho:iconmanicho: reports, October 8
A great article at Smashing Magazine that every designer should check. If you're into Coroporate Design, I'm sure you will find this info really useful.

It’s hard to define design. We have a broad range of definitions to choose from: design refers not only to graphic design, but to design strategy, too. It is used in a variety of industries, such as engineering, architecture and Web design.

This means that design is not just graphical in nature (which is a form of visual artistic representation), but also the planning of processes to achieve certain goals. Large corporations clearly understand this and incorporate every form of design into their strategy to achieve success.
For a good corporate design, we need to be aware of two main elements, which can be further broken down into a total of seven “ingredients”.

Wanna Draw like ur fav artist!!! (This can help)

~westwolf270:iconwestwolf270: reports, October 19, 2007
How many times have you sat down to draw you favorite character and in the end it always comes out looking like you drew it. it looks like all the other characters you’ve drawn before... And no matter how much you try you can’t get it to look as cool as the original artist who drew it without copying.

There are loads of sites, schools, book, and resources on learning how to draw, but how many actually teach you how to draw like your favorite artist.

As a freelancer whose offended asked to drawing in many different styles. I’ve developed a neat way of mimicking someone else’s style. By using the basics you already know (or should) and these simple exercises. Anyone of any style of drawing can actually draw like his or her favorite artist. (or something closer then before)

This excise isn’t meant for all of us to because copycats. It’s meant to steer you in the direction you looking forward to reaching instead of just picking up the style and techniques form the person teaching you how to draw.

Its important to take what you’ve learned and make it you own.

Follow the link to my tutorial- (I feel like in infomercial. please excuse me I’m a little nervous…this is my first news post!)

This is sort of a tangible way for others to experience what I’ve experience as a manga artist trying to learn to draw in a more American style. And the way it been speeded up by the inking and color of American comics.

But like I said before… I hope any artist of almost any style can in some way use this and learn draw in a different style from their own… in the end drawing influence from both (or more) ways of doing something and coming up with something new and interesting.

Enjoy…
