How many times have you sat down to draw you favorite character and in the end it always comes out looking like you drew it. it looks like all the other characters youve drawn before... And no matter how much you try you cant get it to look as cool as the original artist who drew it without copying.
There are loads of sites, schools, book, and resources on learning how to draw, but how many actually teach you how to draw like your favorite artist.
As a freelancer whose offended asked to drawing in many different styles. Ive developed a neat way of mimicking someone elses style. By using the basics you already know (or should) and these simple exercises. Anyone of any style of drawing can actually draw like his or her favorite artist. (or something closer then before)
This excise isnt meant for all of us to because copycats. Its meant to steer you in the direction you looking forward to reaching instead of just picking up the style and techniques form the person teaching you how to draw.
Its important to take what youve learned and make it you own.

This is sort of a tangible way for others to experience what Ive experience as a manga artist trying to learn to draw in a more American style. And the way it been speeded up by the inking and color of American comics.
But like I said before
I hope any artist of almost any style can in some way use this and learn draw in a different style from their own
in the end drawing influence from both (or more) ways of doing something and coming up with something new and interesting.
Enjoy
