Title: Jacob Fanart Contest
Deadline: December 1st
What to do: Create fanart of Jacob Elsewood from AFTER-LIFE ([link]) and a small comment about what you like with the story or Jacob.
Size of drawing: Minimum size should be around 4"x4" with 300 dpi. (I don't want to ruin quality of your art)
Why are you doing this: I want to promote other artists as well in my manga! So, 4 submittions will be added to my manga.
Way it will be judged: You will be judged on quality and originality along with how accurate you depict jacob and how good your comment is (I can't just let some random person who doesn't care about the characters or story win)
Prizes: There will be two categories (my pick and audience pick)
My Pick:
1st A page in my fanart gallery of my manga, 4 month subscription to DA
2nd A page in my fanart gallery of my manga, 1 month subscription to DA

1st A page in my fanart gallery of my manga, 4 month subscripition to DA
2nd A page in my fanart gallery of my manga, 1 month subscription to DA

(if the manga is about finished by then, 1st place winners can choose to switch a 4 month with manga and 1 month subscription)

Why are we doing this?:

The reason I'm making the manga is because I want to spread the word about my art and stories. I want to do the same for other artists as well!! But to keep the theme constant, I want it to be fanart of my manga.

Who is judging this?:

First I will judge it. I will look at all the things like originality and quality. Yours maybe picked even if you are not a great artist... because in the end I determine who the better art is.

Then after I announce the winners of that, I will have the audience (everyone else) vote in a poll who should keep it up. So tell your friends...your family...whoever has a DA account to vote for you. Cause this is more publicity of your art.

What will the fanart manga page look like?:

The winners art will take up about half the page, and there will be a small comment at the end by the winners. Also contact information (how ever much you want to put... but at the bare minimum I will have your DA account on there.

Why do we have to do a stupid comment about your story or jacob anyway?:

If some guy who just wanted to find an easy way to get promoted just by redrawing my OC without caring AT ALL about my manga got promoted, I would hate that.

You need to at least find one redeeming quality of it... or else it's just mindless fanart and not true fanart.

Do we have to draw Jacob exactly:

To the most part yes, but you may alter his out if you like. But, keep it to his character.

Hell... you can have him in a banana suit so long as he's ticked off about wearing it.

But realize I'm looking for creativity. So jacob in an alley, clothes all torn and he has chains and a spiked collar and his hair is wet... will win over jacob in a banana suit.

What do you mean "If the manga is about finished, the winner can switch":

You see... there is a chance I may not have this manga finished by my deadline. But if it is, I would gladly send you copy of the manga if you get 1st prize....though if you are more interested in a subscription you can choose that as well. Both would be about the same price.
