Even though I've only been here on DA for a few weeks or months,
almost immediatly as I watched people, nearly a quarter of the journals that
I saw had me alarmed. Art Thieves literally taking artwork from someones
hand work and pratically recoloured and some traced it claiming as their own.
I haven't HAD any art stolen yet, but stealing and changing some colors
does not make you an artist.

Art is supposed to be a work of originality or a view on life put on paper or
on a photograph; we can be influenced by it but at the same time wish we can draw better.
But the truth is: we all have our own style of drawing. Famous painters and artists have
been known to share 'similar' art styles like the all too infamous surrealist painter,
Hieromyous Bosch and Doyle (not to be confused with Conan Doyle the author of
the Sherlock Holmes series). Doyle was influenced by Bosch's style when he was young
and it showed in his works. Can we do the same instead of taking art?
Being an influence and taking what isn't yours, are you being a good example to future artists?
