North East of England Deviants Group + Features!

California Wildfires

The fires in California has gotten worse. With a reported death total of 10 people and the evacuation of over 1 million people, things are looking rather horrid in California.

Since the fires broke out last weekend, the evacuation of 1 million people has been the largest evacuation in the US since Hurricane Katrina two years ago. Over 3,000 homes have been incinerated and over $1 billion worth of damage has happened.

Rumors have been going around so far that this fire could've been partly started by an arsonist. Police are offering a $70,000 reward for whoever can find the person(s) involved in the supposed arson.

Either way...please, anyone who is reading this, take a moment of silence and pray for those who have died and those who are still down there trying to survive.

To those of which who have family in the Area or live around there, the best of luck to you and I hope you stay safe.

I too feel for the people out that way right now.

At the same time I do wish they would tone down a little on the amount of coverage, since a lot has become repetitive now.... I mean it's a big event, but I would think it would be best to save updates for the newscasts (and not have half the news be about it) unless something major happens to require the need to making a breaking news alert on it.
