The theory is that New Age music is good music: good for mind, body, and soul. Researchers report that individuals who listen regularly to music of the New Age genre are healthier, happier individuals. Most attribute this to the relaxing and stress-relieving properties of this type of music.
Being a huge music fan (composer and pianist myself), and seeing almost no serious or alive music channel in dAmn, I decided to bring to dAmn my own idea of a proper music channel, knowing that there far more music lovers than we all think
WLOX Radio X will be playing a sneak preview of "The Mist" by Stephen King tonight at 8:00 PM Central Time followed by a special presentation of "The Raven" read by Christopher Walken. These are fully dramatized and you'll have to hear it to appreciate it. I'll replay the entire show on Halloween night.
This production of a Stephen King short story is a one-of-a-kind hybrid, a 3-D sound audiobook that leaves listeners suspended (and in fright) somewhere between a movie and a book. The use of sound effects and audio technology turns Stephen King's The Mist into an exciting, entertaining hour and a half audio experience. Voices will come at you in all directions, breathing dimension into the auditory experience. The audiobook production thrusts listeners into an average, all American, town which is suddenly thrashed by a violent storm. What is left in the storm's wake is an illusive mist, and the terror it beholds. Listeners will not be disappointed because The Mist is full of creepy crawlies and fantastic monsters in the dark. If you are looking for not only a frightening story, but an unusual and unique audio experience, check out Stephen King's "The Mist" tonight on WLOX Radio X
Fully Dramatized in 3-D Sound
The Raven
by Edgar Allan Poe
read by Christopher Walken
Actor Christopher Walken's reading of "The Raven" is right in synch with the quirky characters he's known for portraying on stage and in film.
I will also be revealing the Radio X Live "Theme Song" tonight at the beginning of the show. Yes, after long and careful thought I have finally decided on a Theme Intro Song. I appreciate all of the suggestions and submissions from everyone. They were all great and it was very difficult to decide on one. So I would like to thank my Sensei for finally coming up with the perfect Theme music. He had suggested I continue to use "Lorelei" by Styx but I kinda balked at the pretentiousness of it and so he was forced to come up with something else instead. Something new, something different, something Egyptian. It's called "Return of the Queen"(...not pretentious at all, noooo...)
I saw some trailers to the Stephen King's "The Mist" movie. It's awesome, freaky, and frightening to watch again and again. I can't wait till it comes out.

Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
