End Aerial Hunting of Alaskan Wolves.
Aerial hunting of wolves has become a problem in Alaska. Over 700 wolves' lives have been claimed by aerial hunting in the past four years. This may not seem like alot, but it is, considering that wolves are on the federal endangered list. Low-flying airplanes track wolves while shooting at them with a 12 gauge shot gun. They often don't die when they are hit, and they bite at their backs in agony. Since they aren't killed instantly, they are tracked till the wolves is exhausted and in absolute terror, and can't go on no more. The hunters then land and kill the animal. Even quite a few hunters agree that it is a terrible way to die.
Wolves are amazing animals. They seem to connect with each other, much like a human relationship. They are fantastic parents, and contrary to popular belief, wolves are actually gentle creatures. They are highly intellectual animals, and thats probably why many people tend to view and portray them as spiritual creatures. The wolf, being a symbol of wilderness, probably puts on a very tough, hard exterior, and may seem dangerous, but the truth of the matter is, most wolves are scared of humans and try to avoid them. Who wouldn't be afraid of humans as a wolf?
Alaska is the last place in the United States where there is vast ecosystems that are intact. By signing the petition below, you are helping protect the wolves, and by protecting the wolves, you are in turn helping protect Alaskan habitat.

Here and tell me about it. Its very easy! And it doesn't have to be animal related, any cause that helps make the earth a better place is excepted!
Why do I provide graphic videos?
I think that it take something as drastic as showing what actually happens to get people motivated to actually do something. People are very visual learners, and thats why I believe that its something to hear about something, but when you see it, thats what makes a difference.

How 2 save the wolves!Poll
The best way to cease the aerial hunting would be to catch them, and bring them to areas in the Lower 48 where they have been wiped out. Thereby solving two problems with one solution!
Humans by the way, are not the top of the food chain this far North... So be sure to carry bear spray when you camp, or the preferred Alaska Life Insurance policy of .44 Magnum or larger caliber! Wildlife is in abundance up here and very well regulated. Poaching is not tolerated, heck if your moose has a rack that is too short by a fraction of an inch you'll be losing everything to pay the fine!
With as much land as we have up here, I believe most of the challenge of stopping aerial hunting is in the enforcement. Too much space to cover, too many air strips, too few people to catch the ones who do shoot from airplanes... Personally, I'd rather do it the old fashioned way and hunt on foot.

Here's why we kill wolves in Alaska. They are far from "Endangered" here, in fact, they are a pest because the populations are so high!
Its something called "management" of the population. Up here in Alaska wolves are starting to become far too numerous. Due to all the protections, the numbers have skyrocketed! The natural balance is being un-done through protection, so protection needs to be lifted until the order is restored.
But what the hell do I know, I just live here with a pistol to protect myself and my dog when he's out taking care of business. Of course, wolves are the least of my worries. We have quite a few stray dogs doing the same thing! That and moose. Humans are far from the top of the food chain here...
