Ah, Halloween...Who doesn't love celebrating this joyous holiday here at DA? Well, certainly (& obviously) not me! So welcome to our special little Halloween edition of Mini-DDs!
Now, this year things are a little different...Instead of featuring all Halloween-themed artwork, this year's offerings will include those that just plain work with Halloween in general. Those that are dark, creepy, twisted, hellish, gothic, monstrous, death-related...Well, you get the point. Nothing too serious, of course...Hey, gotta make sure we have fun as well, of course!
Oh, & just for the heck of it, the number of this week's offerings has increased from the usual nine to thirteen for Halloween only...You know, for luck!
Plus, I have another reason to celebrate as well: My personal goal this year has finally been reached! I was hoping to have 52 actual Daily Deviations come out as a result of my MIni-DDs this year...& lo & behold, that goal was reached - & broken - this week! So thanks out there to all of you talented artists & those that have supported me!
Alright, let's not get off topic here! You came for the D-worthy Halloween goodies, so let's started with them already!
Okay, so if you don't know by now, the featured artists here each receive the Golden Fefcaine Award:
...My little prestigious token of appreciation for anyone who created some amazing, DD-worthy artwork. Plus it has a delicious milk chocolate center! And for this week only, it comes inside of a plastic pumpkin pail filled with candy corn as well!
Alright now, on with the show! Here's this week's Mini-DDs...

Ah, *
recycledwax, your amazing & unique vector works never failt to disappoint me...&
Black cat for dessert is no exception! Cute, nice & dark, creative (loving all of the little monster designs), very stylish, & just plain fun to look at, this is one Deviation that you definitely shouldn't miss out on. I wonder how bad luck does taste, by the way...

~
horrormove's gallery is chock full of several eye-catching dark-yet-cartoonish creations, with
Time of Dead Sparrow being a prime example. That unique style, that cool character design, the great use of black & white, & some nice detail all the way down to those little birds...Definitely something sweet here.

A little psychedelic, a little macabre, & a little cute...That seems to sum up
The Dead Place by ~
DjBisparulz nicely enough. Bispa brings his a-game here again, pouring an amazing amount of creativity & a unique style into everything from the animals to the hills to the trees. Make sure you don't pass this one up!

*
ChadRocco actually celebrated Halloween in quite the impressive way...By drawing 31 different female ghouls in order to count down to the big day. Choosing just one to feature here was definitely hard, but the unique character, mix of colours, & amazing cartoon style poured into
31 GoH: Blob cinched it. Don't forget to check out the other 30 ghouls as well!
.Y funo el krrete. by ~
InkFactory...With twisted & heartless cartoon creatures getting wasted alongside creepy little stuffed bunnies perfectly drawn & colored in quite the eye-catching style with a little Oriental text thrown in just for coolness effect, how can you not love this baby? How, I say, how?

~
polawat always manages to come up with the coolest, jaw-dropping macabre designs...Just like with
Red Ridding Food. A batch of twisted & carnivorous (but nicely designed & detailed) snapping cats invading a classic fairy tale? Sounds like a recipe for one wicked painting to me!

Pokemon may not be the first thing that comes into your mind when it comes to creepy things...But the dark Murkrows just always have a place in the little black part of my heart. And
Pokemon alley: Saffron by =
scales does them justice thanks to a perfectly shady feeling & a rather sweet style. Bravo!

Whenever =
Mishuku brings her freaky, twisted little character out, I just can't resist taking a look at her. And
...I My Me Mine Mishuku... is quite a cool little drawing itself, with the character's general freakishness mixing with the vivid & psychotic background. And it doesn't hurt that I love the title song as well...

Well-drawn, incredibly detailed, & so fiery that I could actually believe it came right out of the bowels of Hell itself,
The Fallen: preview by ~
renata-young is one impressive piece of work showcasing quite the intimidating character...Who will eventually be imprisoned inside the body of a cuddly little bunny. Oh well.
Step Lightly, Stay Puft by =
vikung-fu...Okay, now this is just simply classic. After all, who doesn't love
Ghostbusters? And Stay-Puft here is immortalized perfectly here in one impressive piece of 3D work, capturing a classic scene in all it's glory with some nice little touches (like the little ghost designs). Just...Wow.
JV Hallowolf by *
time-panic is quite the interesting piece of anthro art! After all, how many other times do you get to see a Halloween-themed anthro character, & one that's nicely twisted, well-designed, & even finely colored as well? Mr. Panic, you deserve all the attention you can get for this baby...
Well Deserved Trickery by ~
ObsidianGecko...Simply put, this frenetic, bright, & joyful halloween pic is one you have to have in your Favourites gallery. Everything in this piece of art, from the happy griffin to the jack-o-lanterns to the candy spilling out just oozes pure, mischievous fun...& that's why you gotta love it, of course!

*
atomicfiction is quite the master when it comes to creating wild, twisted, macabre, & surreal characters, much like the one in
The Doomsday Larceny. That's one creepy & well-drawn doomsday critter, & it definitely makes for one intriguing piece of art...What else needs to be said?
...& that's all for this week! If you have any comments, suggestions, etc., they'd be greatly appreciated! I hope you've all liked what I've featured this week, & I'll be back next week with nine more DD-worthy works of art! Sayanora until then! ^_^
