Be Yourself

~erfun0033:iconerfun0033: reports, 2d 19h ago
Someone falls to pieces
Sleeping all alone
Someone kills the pain
Spinning in the silence
She finally drifts away
Someone gets excited
In a chapel yard
And catches a bouquet
Another lays a dozen
White roses on a grave
Yeah...

And to be yourself is all that you can do
Hey...
To be yourself is all that you can do

Someone finds salvation in everyone
Another only pain
Someone tries to hide himself
Down inside himself he prays
Someone swears his true love
Until the end of time
Another runs away
Separate or united
Healthy or insane

Who loved it?

Wanna hear something really scary?

~Lorelai-Oksana:iconLorelai-Oksana: reports, October 29, 2007
Wednesday October 31st

WLOX Radio X will be playing a Halloween Special Presentation of "The Mist" and "Pet Sematary" by Stephen King Halloween Night at 8:00 PM Central Time followed by a special presentation of "The Raven" read by Christopher Walken. These are fully dramatized and you'll have to hear them to appreciate it. This show was aired last Friday night and everyone seemed to love it..

The Mist

This production of a Stephen King short story is a one-of-a-kind hybrid, a 3-D sound audiobook that leaves listeners suspended (and in fright) somewhere between a movie and a book. The use of sound effects and audio technology turns Stephen King's The Mist into an exciting, entertaining hour and a half audio experience. Voices will come at you in all directions, breathing dimension into the auditory experience. The audiobook production thrusts listeners into an average, all American, town which is suddenly thrashed by a violent storm. What is left in the storm's wake is an illusive mist, and the terror it beholds. Listeners will not be disappointed because The Mist is full of creepy crawlies and fantastic monsters in the dark. If you are looking for not only a frightening story, but an unusual and unique audio experience, check out Stephen King's "The Mist" Halloween Night on WLOX Radio X

Fully Dramatized in 3-D Sound

Pet Sematary

Renowned for its superior productions, BBC radio may have outdone itself by adapting Stephen King's Pet Sematary to audio. A clamorous cacophony of talking, whining, whistling, and howling, Pet Sematary is a quick, entertaining earful for those who don't have other auditory distractions to contend with, such as a car full of talking whining, whistling, howling children. However, the melodramatic prose marries well with the acting; such is the case when one reader--whose voice bears an uncanny resemblance to Kramer's from Seinfeld--tells another about the effects of the Pet Sematary: "Heroin makes junkies feel good when they put it in their arms, but all the time it's poisoning their mind and body--this place can be like that and don't you ever forget it!"

Fully Dramatized in 3-D Sound

The Raven
by Edgar Allan Poe
read by Christopher Walken

Actor Christopher Walken's reading of "The Raven" is right in synch with the quirky characters he's known for portraying on stage and in film.

I will be repeating the show all night so everyone will get a chance to listen if they want to. There will be a 20 minute intermission at the very end and then the whole show repeats. The entire show lasts 5 hours with 5 minute intermissions between stories
