When the chicken crossed pen with paper they won a prize.

THE CONTEST
I want to see your creativity and create a piece of art, inspired by the line… “when the chicken crossed…”
You can interpret it anyway you wish e.g. crossed could mean crossed-bred or even visually the many a chicken crossed the road jokes, but it’s up to you.

The commissioned feles will take at least a month to complete.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This contest is open to photography, photo-manipulation, animations and illustration of any sort.
Sorry, no stories or poems please. In the future I will include you when possible.
No sexual images either please.

In the piece of art you submit, there MUST be some sort of reference to the “when the chicken crossed…” line. Not just a chicken sitting on a nest and that’s it, it has to be fairly obvious that there is a connection.
If that connection is a bit obscure, please write it in your ARTIST COMMENTS, so I can make that connection.
IF you are not able to explain the connection, your deviantion will not be entered or has little chance of winning.

ONE ENTRY per deviant, if you would like to change your entry with another one, that’s ok.

Send me a note with the title “THE CHICKEN CONTEST” with a link to your work.
Please give a LINK to me and/or to the contest under your deviantion, not doing so will make me upset and we don’t want that… do we?
I will fav and leave a comment to acknowledge that you have entered the contest.

The entries MUST be made for this contest e.g. the date of your submitted deviantion must at the earliest be the date of when this contest started.

Any entries submitted before this date, will not be taken into consideration.

The contest will run until 28 February 2008. Hopefully this will give you enough time to get your work finished.

The winners will be picked by me. Those of you who think I’ll be judging on quality are mistaken, it’s the idea and quirky-ness of it, that will gain you the points. But a nicely finished image may standout better, than one that’s been done in a bic biro on a creased scrap of paper.

The announcement of the winners will take place on the 30 March 2008 in my journal and the winning deviants will be informed via the Notes

The submissions MUST be your own work; any deviant caught cheating will be disqualified and form any future contests I hold. You will be named & shamed and I will allow fellow deviants to write nasty comments on your home page (could you live with that shame?)
