Comics Segment? Whats this?

In case you've been living under a rock the last little while, the Artists Relations team has been running a project called Project: Educate and each gallery is getting a Spotlight week. Comics week is November 5th - 10th 2007.
What this means is activities, sub giveaways, Contests, Chat events and more! Read on for a full list of Details!

*apocathary is holding a contest/Education Project that will show you how to create your own mini comic zine and there will be prizes for the best mini comic zines!

Scheduled Chat meet

November 9th 1-3 pm EST Chat with me ( comics gallery director) in #ProjectEducate with ^MistressWit. This is a chat meeting where you each get an opportunity to come to me with your comments, concerns, questions and suggestions for the comics community on DA. I'm very much looking forward to hearing your comments.

Other Chat Events

Throughout the week I will be spending all my spare minutes and hours sitting in #CandC and handing out free subs for scavenger hunt prizes, trivia and other random reasons.

Superhero Fella Contest

Of course it wouldn't be a complete event without some kind of official DA Contest!
What I need is a fella to be used on my AR updates, contest journal CSS and news articles. So the image will need to be a transparent PNG, but if you cant make one, dont worry.

Goal
Draw and colour a superhero fella, preferably in an action comic style pose for use as a graphic. You can design your own superhero costume or use an existing here (batman, superman... wonder woman ) as long as you draw it yourself.

Articles

Keep an eye out for educational articles through the week with many tidbits of information for you regarding the comics gallery on DA.
They will be linked in the official Launch Journal as they are posted.

If you have an article, please send me a link as I would like to feature all educational comic news articles in the official launch journal for all to see.

How can you get involved

Well aside from the above mentioned activities that are open to everyone, you can also write some educational comics article, or feature comic art in articles and send me a link to your articles to be featured.
You can also run contests and send me links to them so that I can feature them.
