The Future Stars of Photomanipulation #5

=Behana:iconBehana: reports, November 8, 2007
After the announcement that ~The-Undiscovered project has been closed, *Iardacil, who was a staff member there, felt that there is now big gap for featuring up and coming future artists. So, to try to fill that gap a little, she asked her dear and talented friend =Behana to help her and the result they produced this news article.

The aim of this article is to give exposure for promising, talented and outstanding photomanipulators, who have had little or no exposure so far. These deviants are chosen for their skill, works, originality and variety.

Maybe these fortnightly features combined with our words of encouragement will help some new photomanipulators catch some of the limelight, but also to give audience’s here some idea that in the world of photomanipulations there are no borders and the possibilities are endless. The only limit is your imagination.

There are four categories, all based on how many pageviews the deviant has. Under 100, Under 1 000, Under 5 000, Under 10 000, Under 20 000.

Under 100:

:bulletred:I have to confess that when it comes to finding stars for this article it is this category that provides the most problems. This is because those with less than 100 views have only been on DA for maximum of a week. You can get 100 views in a day easily so picking someone who has lovely work and the right amount of vies was definitely a challenge. So it’s always refreshing to see someone like ~LadyCarnal. Her two works that she has submitted into the photomanipulation section are not the sort of thing I associate with a beginner. I hope that as she becomes accustomed to DeviantART and the way it works she will grow and prosper.

:bulletblue:Finding ~Mew-tated's gallery was just a luck but I am very happy I decided to take a time and go trough her gallery as that girl has very impressive works. The use of light, blending different images, her technique and sense for composition. Her patience and hard work every image reflects. Super.

Under 1 000:

:bulletpurple:~Silvia15 is really something special. I mean you’d think doing this article that we’d come across people with talent all over the place but just browsing through the manips gallery it’s filled with junk (almost all of which is in the wrong section) but every so often a piece catches your eye and leads you on a journey. To do this it needs to be unique, creative and imaginative. A great example of this is ~Silvia15’s gallery.

:bulletred:*tanja92 is possibly one of the most brilliant manipulators I’ve seen that has less than 1 000 views. It’s truly incredible for her work is a sight not to be missed. It combines all the soft colours and gentle details we’d associate with some of the really popular deviants but she always adds her own spin. She’s full of ideas and this shows in her gallery. A truly unique way of seeing the world and its beauty.

:bulletblue:~nagu86 has really surreal and dark gallery but the way he plays with shapes, forms and elements - it just spells me. He has no fear to make something different, vivid and abstract. With his courage he has fulfilled something many here try to get - unique style, very outstanding and personal works. His works stand totally alone and I have not seen nothing like that. Impressive.

Under 5000:

:bulletpurple:~Migueltreze gallery just leaves me speechless and makes me wonder - with gallery like that he could freely have 50 000 pageviews. His style is unique, powerful, catching. Powerful atmospheres, bright color choices, symbolic and moving themes. I could just let lost in that gallery . Very varing, personal and outstanding. A star to be discovered.

:bulletred:*RIVI1969's gallery impresses with unique shape use - the first thing that you notice about the pieces. They are different, somehow surreal but they have kept all the visions for beauty. With that kind of approach, mixing surreal looking style with bright, contrasting colors, playing with forms, the outcome is unique, eye catching and magnificent.

Under 10 000:

:bulletblue:In my opinion *abuseofreason has that much sought after talent of being able to pick great stock and put it together in such a way that it doesn’t matter what colour or tone it is, its still able to impress. I think all the deviations in her gallery show this, especially the ones I’ve featured here. I could also go on more about her technique but since I don’t have that much space, it’s superb.

:bulletpurple:I am totally in love with ~Ade-Lusha her concepts for her piece and her simple yet beautiful execution of them is magical. I love her colour schemes that range from startling Barbie pink to subdued, saturated mauve. Her use of textures is exceptional especially since it enhances the piece instead of hindering (which is by far the most difficult thing to achieve. Not overpowering the piece but adding depth and tone) All this in one gallery….amazing!

:bulletred:~Gejda's gallery is filled with eye-catching bright colors, powerful feelings and great atmospheres - maybe something what is usual if you look these and previous features but there is something in her gallery that amazes me - maybe the stories I can see behind her works, maybe the way her works is build. I am not even sure - but there is something mystical that catches my attentions and does not let it go.

Under 20 000:

:bulletblue:Now you are bound to have seen ~nemina’s work somewhere (probably in the DD section, since she has 2!) but as she has less than 20 00 views she allowed to be featured here. Her work is so inspiring and original that it can not be viewed as anything other than beautiful and magical. Her creative use of stock and her aptness for many media make her an all round talent with a magnificent gallery to match.

:bulletpurple:I don’t think it’s possible to have a more definitive style than *JohndeLano. His work is so beautiful and nostalgic it was hell to pick only four pieces to feature. Every piece tells a different story and every single one calls out to your soul. His exceptional work with textures and custom brushes sets him far apart from other artists making his gallery one in a million.

:bulletred:*D-e-v-i has very warm and soft tones gallery what is very good variety for mostly dark themed galleries what are majority here. Positive visions, life-asserting themes - they are like sun in DA's sky. After her viewing her gallery, I am sure, the day just gets brighter as she managed to bring so much optimism into her pieces.

FAQ #565: You prohibit the submission of 'pornographic material'; what do you consider this to be?

Only fools are enslaved by time and space.
Let's put our 3D glasses on, hop in the TARDIS, and go to a magical island with time traveling bunnies on it; shall we?
