Read This Magazine - seeking submissions!

*TheObviousChild:iconTheObviousChild: reports, Nov 10, 2007
Next Wednesday sees the official launch of brand new literary magazine 'Read This.' The magazine was founded in October by *TheObviousChild and four other poets from Edinburgh, Scotland. It is not-for-profit, and appears in print once a month, with selections of the best work also appearing on the web, at [link]

Assisted by Scottish charitable arts collective The Forest, Read This has already attracted submissions from all over the world - as far afield as Geelong, Australia. The editors hope that it will be a continued success, but more submissions are always needed.
"We want to provide a platform for emerging writers from all over the world to showcase their work," says Editor in Chief, Claire. "We hope to give people who might otherwise be overlooked a chance to get 'out there.'"

If you've never been published before, Read This is a small-scale, non-threatening way to get started. If you're getting onto the magazine circuit, it can also act as another important credit to your name. And if you just want to have something to show for your writing efforts, you're still welcome to submit!
Read This accepts submissions of poetry and prose in any style, on any subject. Pieces can be of any length, though obviously we can't publish full novels or collections! Most importantly, the magazine team do not discriminate against anyone based on where they are from, how old they are, or how they write. Read This wants to and will publish anyone and everyone - so what are you waiting for? Visit the website at [link], or send your submissions to submissions@readthismagazine.co.uk

Interesting. I have a snippet of a future story I'd like to submit. I have a couple of questions though: 1) is it possible to submit one chapter and link to where the entire collected novel could be purchased through my submission (should it be published), and 2) what's the standard on things like mature situations and language?
