reports, November 15, 2007Thank you to everyone who entered our first contest, we appreciated all of your entries; hopefully we will have some returning contestants. We anticipate the same effort and beautiful works from many more outstanding artists! But most importantly we hope that everyone had fun and felt some pride in their work regardless of whether they had been deemed “winner” of this contest. Keep pushing yourselves to improve and trust in yourself, persistence!
For November’s theme we will be holding a series of contests to support gay/lesbian/bisexual/etc. orientations. We would like to promote and show support to people’s choice and their freedoms. Any intolerance to the theme will result in immediate disqualifications, we are taking this theme VERY seriously.
We will have 4 categories for different mediums, so we will have 4 different winners for each category, the mediums will be:
Literature
Photography
Traditional/Painting/sketch/etc.
Digital/Other/etc.
(If you are unsure of anything at all, just note the club or the administrator ~Comatorium22)
RULES
- You will have 1 month to complete entry (unless informed otherwise). We may extend this if we do not get enough participants or entries by the deadline.
- You are allowed only 1 entry
- The entry must be received by midnight the last day of the set deadline
- Any intolerance shown in a work pertaining to sex/sexual preference/race/religion will not be tolerated unless it is a character or an obvious use of sarcasm…etc.
- Work must be created new for contest. You may not use existing art in competition.
- Give link to contest journal in "artist comments", and identify your work as a contest submission.
- Note me if you would like to be entered in the contest
JUDGING CRITERIA
- Original content and creative interpretation of subject matter
- How closely it follows the theme
- Overall artistic composition
The contest will begin Thursday, November 1st
The contest will end Saturday, December 1st
