The Internet as we know it is facing a serious threat. There's a debate heating up in Washington, DC on something called "net neutrality" and it's a debate that's so important Google is asking you to get involved. We're asking you to take action to protect Internet freedom.
Primera Parte: $liquisoft quien es Staff del dA (Designer & Creative Consultant) y ^Ikue (Director de Galería de Vector) se pronuncian sobre la nueva versión del deviantART y aclaran algunas dudas.
Haven't you always wondered what was up with those wierd Dollfies? Here's part one of a super FACT!SMASH. BJDs 101. Collectors are not all crazy nutbars.
And no, sharpies are not an accepted form of make-up application.

Friedreich's Ataxia is one of the most common forms of inherited ataxia. Ataxia litterally means "absence of order". Ataxia is the main symptom of a group of neurological disorders called the cerebellar ataxias. Parts of the nervous system that control co-ordination and balance deteriorate. I have FA and I am trying to raise enough money to have some stem cell treatment...
Story about a women who left a dog in an unlocked car, info on what to do if you see a dog/kid in a car or truck. Also a warning to all pet owners and parents.
Recently, many changes have been made to the deviantART system with little or no notice, or information as to the changes being made. One can understand the need for change to help improve and move forward, however one also becomes uneasy when changes are made with their notification. Therefore I'm asking for some sort of formal notification to come before a change occurs, or even better, have a poll/vote on the change; a deviantELECTION if you will. Put deviantART in the hands of the artists!
Well said but those who miss the opportunity will submit a news like you did requesting more notice until its like year before the change occurs it would be an endless battle though i do see you point i dont think that it can or will happen they will continue to do the changes unannounced and we will have to deal with it lol
As $lolly has said before - the reason they don't give notice on some of the site changes is because they want some serious, unabashed discussion going on.
If they give people notice there is generally a lot of 'feh' emotions going around like 'yeah, whatever'. If they do something and people don't like it - they hear about every little detail they don't like and can therefore amend the change as needed.
You need to listen to the $admins more. They explain their actions constantly. As for other changes - a lot of the ones that are happening recently have been in the pipeline and public knowledge for over a year.

You make a vaild point my friend. Really you do. But is it really up to us? I mean, we don't pay. Well some of us do. Maybe it should really only be up for the people who pay. Because technicly, most of us just freeload.
I do watch a few administrators, looking for news but I normally don't seem to find it. I haven't seen anything yet about the add of folders and change in gallery organization. I can understand doing things to get a big reaction, but some things don't need to have to be done just to get a huge reaction. If people really don't want something, they'll tell them before they even have to see it.

You wouldn't worry so much about what people really thought of you if you knew just how seldom they actually do. -Unknown New devART [link]
Yes. That is true. But not enough to make profit I wouldn't think. Just enough to pay for the room we take up on their servers. Hmmmm.... That's an interesting point though.
Adding folders? That was being talked about when I first started my FIRST account here on dA and the 'big reaction' they had was people supporting the idea. Other deviants have been bugging the admins for MONTHS to get it implemented. It was supposed to be done with the last dAv update but it took a little longer than expected.

The guitar is a musical instrument with ancient roots that is used in a wide variety of musical styles. It typically has six strings, but four, seven, eight, ten, and twelve string guitars also exist.
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
