^lovetodeviate:iconlovetodeviate: reports, August 30
An interview with ex-GD, writer, editor, fascinating person: `GeneratingHype. Here are some tidbits from the interview (which I recommend reading in full):

"Letters presuppose a sort of authenticity, and I truly believe that a story—no matter the form—needs to be authentic and believable.

"Sometimes I wish I had stories such as "I wrote my first published poem at three and a half!" or "I started writing stories at two!", but writing never came easy for me and is still not very easy for me.

The Use of Adverbs in Fiction Writing

=DarcKnyt:iconDarcKnyt: reports, August 29
Adverbs are the endangered species of the adult fiction world. They're frowned on like putting a Baby Ruth bar in a punch bowl at a wedding reception -- not a good idea. They're also indicative of weak writing ... but why? This article covers why adverbs are evil and what you can do to avoid using them.

Literature

HotLits- The Second! Second time!

`Beccalicious:iconBeccalicious: reports, November 21, 2007
‘HotLits’ is a weekly news article produced by me (`Beccalicious ). This is an article where I’ll be featuring some of the hottest literature that has been submitted over the last seven days on deviantART.

It’s been an interesting week in literature, a sad week really. The amount of poetry I’ve read about broken hearts makes me wonder whether the winter blues is starting to settle in amongst the deviants world. However, there has also been some brilliantly funny work, as well as enchanting fantasies, stunning poetry and this is merely a small selection of the rest out there.

Don’t forget, if you see any literature deviations posted recently that you end up loving and faving, please feel free to drop me a note and I will add them to these articles!

Here are the features for HotLits the second...

Snaps and Zippers by :icondolita: (Suggested by ~Danteholic )

Footstep Graves by :iconamberlouie:

Sunrise by :iconbatousaijin:

If you missed out on last weeks, check out this [link] .

Also, if you haven’t already- why not check out *Writers-Workshop?
There are also some fantastic literature contests around at the moment including *Amberlouie’s Courage competition [link] and ^StJoans Gourmet Lit contest [link] . Don't forget to also check out *litNEWS for all your latest literature perks!

Thank you for reading,

`Beccalicious
