Photo-Manipulation Love!

=ClockworkDesigns:iconClockworkDesigns: reports, 1d 6h ago
These are photo-manipulations that have been chosen based on the amount of creativity put into them or the type of techniques used to create such eye candy. Some of these people are fairly unknown and I wanted to give them an opportunity to be seen by the public. Please show the artists your support! :D

The Future Stars of Photomanipulation #6

*Iardacil:iconIardacil: reports, November 22, 2007
After the announcement that ~The-Undiscovered project has been closed, *Iardacil, who was a staff member there, felt that there is now big gap for featuring up and coming future artists. So, to try to fill that gap a little, she asked her dear and talented friend =Behana to help her and the result they produced this news article.

The aim of this article is to give exposure for promising, talented and outstanding photomanipulators, who have had little or no exposure so far. These deviants are chosen for their skill, works, originality and variety.

Maybe these monthly features combined with our words of encouragement will help some new photomanipulators catch some of the limelight, but also to give audience’s here some idea that in the world of photomanipulations there are no borders and the possibilities are endless. The only limit is your imagination.

There are four categories, all based on how many pageviews the deviant has. Under 100, Under 1 000, Under 5000, Under 10 000, Under 20 000.

Under 100
:bulletred: It’s really hard to believe when you look at ~freeyes gallery that he has less than 100 pageviews, but I kid you not. It’s true. His work is shows immense skill and experience using textures and stock. His muted tones lend themselves to the stock that he uses creating a nostalgic pieces that are beautiful to look at.

:bulletpurple: Usually you cannot say much of the person's art when that person has only one deviations but sometimes the first piece can be so impressive that you can be sure - that person will have great future. ~magnoliika's gallery is defenetly the one that impressed me so much - the style she has, somehow ironic subtune - that dolly look and every little detail. For a first work stunning.

Under 1000

:bulletred: *richiedean has gorgeous gallery of colorful, vivid, impressive landscapes. It looks like fairytale or paintings. The way he has stressed the landscapes, views - added a totally new look and feel for them. Added a magic and mystery. Enchanting.

:bulletpurple: ~frame2fame’s gallery is full or interesting, sophisticated and emotional pieces. The colours he uses are very rich and deep, they create an intensely real atmosphere which from looking through the piece, we can escape into. His works combine style, colour and stock to create sumptuous pieces that touch your soul.

Under 5000:

:bulletred: There’s always a story behind every one of ~AmarieVeanne’s pieces and this is a quality that I find very desirable. She has a knack for getting light right, and blending stock seamlessly together to create a very lifelike image. I love her stock choices and themes. A lovely gallery.

:bulletpurple: =Atra-Virago has already managed to impress people around here in DA but the great future for her is still ahead. The balanced use of light, clearly and well worked out details, little surreal touch in her works - they just leave you speechless and every time you look those works, try to see every little detail - there is something new, something you did not notice last time. Superb.

:bulletblue: I had so many choice for feature here but ~incessancy's gallery just enchanted me even if I feel that maybe little bit later there would have been even more gorgeous works to feature - the gallery just has such a great atmosphere - all the colors, the pieces, the themes used - the bright tunes, feelings that come trough the images. That kind of atmospheres and color choices, combined with fantasy themes - not seen very often.

Under 10 000:

:bulletred: ~angelandluci has very different gallery - very refreshing in the sea of photomanipulation of sad girls. He has made those manips too but he has also taken a twist to usual theme in DA and gone with surreal. And if you think surreal is something that is easy to made, you are wrong. It needs genial mind and he defenetly has it - if take a close look to the works and try to figure out the connection between the title and the work - you can even impress yourself. He has so deep meanings in every work.

:bulletpurple: *armawolf has a really painterly style that uses extensive texture use, his works remind me of some of the great fantasy artists of our time. His pieces are very claustrophobic, filled with rich colours that draw you in. His lighting techniques brighten the whole piece whilst still keeping some sections dark and mysterious.

Under 20 000:

:bulletred:I can not believe when I look at *brideinblacklace’s gallery that she has less pageviews than me. It’s insane! Her work shows immense skill, technique and understanding. Each one pf her pieces is unique and special and should be admired by itself, to have a whole gallery of these pieces…is just incredible. She’s definitely going on my watchlist!

:bulletpurple: ~Arden18's gallery is not very usual gallery to expect from photomanipulator. She has very personal and outstanding style what makes her art very catchy. The unique and intensive use of colors, the motives that repeat themselves from work to work but still has something new and impressive everytime. I would say this is one of the galleries you can get lost.

:bulletblue: I really loved looking through *MorbidiaMorthel’s gallery. It’s filled with so many wonderful pieces that you could browse through it for hours. She has a knack for choosing great stock and interpreting it in her own unique way, that’s great to see.
