Nostalgia: A Photography Contest


All around the world, at about the time of the winter and summer solstices, people find ways to celebrate. Their reasons for celebrating are diverse, their celebrations are varied, but they all have one thing in common: the sense of nostalgia connected to the season. Whether the current season conjures up memories of summer fireworks at a Festival of Lights or the silence of snowfall on Christmas Eve, we want you to share your sense of season in the Nostalgia Photography Contest. Whatever remembrances are evoked by the seasonal celebration where you live, capture them on film or on a sensor and share them here!

Here are the guidelines:

• You may post one entry.
• Your entry must be a photograph (film or digital).
• It does not have to be a direct representation of your holiday but can represent the feeling of nostalgia evoked by the holiday.
• The photograph must be posted between November 25, 2007 and December 25, 2007.
• All regular photographic enhancements are allowed.
• No textures or brushes are allowed.
• Include a reference to the holiday recalled in your photo in the description!
