Show Me Your Nativity Celebration and Contest!

I'll show you mine and then I hope you will show me yours. First off, I know this journal/news is a bit jambed pack and I hope you will take the time to check it all out.


This holiday used to be about pain and suffering to me. I was brutally abused in childhood and adulthood. I remember many a Christmas tree being thrown through a living room window. Only to be paraded to church and pretend to sing about happy things. My children, most adopted have had horrific holidays, locked in closets and made to be playthings for their adult guardians.

The Christmas Holiday for me today is centered around Love and Love for me is Christ. I believe in all that stuff that seems to be so taboo and hated around here and that is ok. I have one daughter who loved Buddha and we take her to the temple if that is where she chooses. I believe in freedom and choices. We will donate, create stockings, give food to the hungry and yell about the children being abused worldwide, this holiday season. Odd thing about this family is that we do all of that on a daily bases (yes even the teens.)

We will have festivities, honoring the Jewish Seder, Christmas Miracle and Kwanzaa. I am excited this year because we decided to have a huge Mexican feast for friends and family on Christmas and we will research how the holiday is spent in Mexico. It will be a school project for my youngest. 5 of my children are of Mexican heritage and we have 3 that are Pima Indian. We like to Celebrate all cultures, love and diversity. I have a black son who loves to be the one black child here, he is so proud and that gives this old Siciliana a huge heart of happiness.
