Okay, so welcome to another edition of Mini-DDs! The show with the lovable assortment of DD-worthy artwork where
anything can happen!
...Aaaand I've got nothing to say this week. Again. And this basically leads to the awkward part where I try to make a joke about how I have nothing to say...But let's see if we can't dig up anything anyway...
Ah, well how about that! I do have an oddity to point out concerning one of this week's features. As you may be able to tell by checking it out, the comic is the work of *
bluBoyComics, but is in a gallery belonging to *
rocketboyanddog. The latter is due to
a project DA has (or had) going on, but the piece isn't in bluBoy's regular gallery...hence the small amount of confusion there. Just clearing things up!
So with that little oddity over with, what say we head on to the main event already? Let's get going with these Mini-DDs here, people!
Okay, so if you don't know by now, the featured artists here each receive the Golden Fefcaine Award:
...My little prestigious token of appreciation for anyone who created some amazing, DD-worthy artwork. Plus it has a delicious milk chocolate center! And because the DA project mentioned earlier has me filled with a little Canadian pride, the chocolate this week now has a little maple flavor & comes with a side of Fanta! Yay!
Alright now, on with the show! Here's this week's Mini-DDs...

Oh, now what isn't there to love about
Kobe's Dream by *
bluBoyComics? It's very fun, definitely cute, nice & colorful, stylish, & just plain cheerful...In fact, this was so damn good that it actually made me want to go out & have a Fanta for the first time ever. Now that's just a perfect mix of superbly executed artwork & advertising right there. Sure beats out those friggin' annoying Fantanas...

Now, the main feature that makes
CONFRONT poster by ~
Esqueleto such a great piece of work is because it features cactus people. Don't ask me why, they just kick ass. Seriously, the character designs on display here are very well designed, the style used is excellent, the details are nice, & the whole "Bandito" feel here is pulled off perfectly (thanks to the help of ~
o-lee-a). SImply put, you need to fave this.

Um, why the Hell have I not featured anything by *
Reich yet? Her amazing style, sense of humor, sweet coloring skills, & fangirl love for General Grievous, the most kickass
Star wars character ever help make pieces like
Invasion of Patricka become eye-popping beauties. Yeah, it may not be St. Patrick's Day either, but that holiday doesn't seem to get that much lovin' around here...

Ah, the great American hot dog...Perfectly paid tribute to in
God Bless The USA by ~
markmizzles. A wicked style, a great concept, the sweet & innovative photomosaic-esque use of various symbols & a simple color scheme, & all the little details right down to the splat of mustard...It all just makes for one stunning (& delicious) piece of work.

~
kichibo has quite an amazing gallery full of several cool anthro designs, but
CautionLizard is the one that really caught my eye. The character design is very cool, with an amazing pose, nice details (love the cigarette) & colors that compliment him perfectly, all topped off with a nice little mix of trippiness & edginess that adds up to create one wicked drawing that definitely deserves all the praise it can get.
I love liquorice by *
MissMatzenbatzen...Now personally, I do love red licorice, but the black kind? Like poison. But no matter how you feel about licorice, you can't deny that this is one gorgeous piece of work. Simple but brilliant, with a great color scheme, a nice style, & a good amount of detail, this is one sweet piece of work (no pun intended) that you shouldn't pass up.

I was actually reading up on the mythology behind
el colocolo a while back...& when I saw that ^
stigmatattoo had captured it so perfectly here, I knew his amazing interpretation had to be featured. From the wicked drawing of the creature to the cool little illustrations telling the story behind it, there's a lot to love here, thanks to the amazing style on display as well. Bravo!

~
LoneWolf2's abstract works are always quite the sight to behold, &
QueHoraEs? is no exception. An eye-popping assortment of a nice variety of bright colors, funky little designs & details, a wicked style that just seems to have an amazing flow, & a cheerful, nearly psychedelic feeling to it all...It all just makes for one glorious Deviation, one that is not to be missed.
meatbird by ~
inechi is a bit of a simple piece of work...But one that's definitely twisted & fun indeed. The whacked-out designs, the nice mix of colors, the freakish uniqueness of it all, & the way the bit of chaos works with the empty space...It all just makes for one kooky yet attractive wallpaper, & one that definitely makes a fine addition to your Favourites.
...& that's all for this week! If you have any comments, suggestions, etc., they'd be greatly appreciated! I hope you've all liked what I've featured this week, & I'll be back next week with nine more DD-worthy works of art! Sayanora until then! ^_^
