It being December an' all, here's a Christmas-themed competition being brought to you by ~Whirlpool-Fishcake; especially for you cartoonists and gamers out there.

Competition: "Cloudmas"

Theme
In the spirit of this festive time of year, the competition will have a strong Christmas theme to it. But, despite the competition being named after Final Fantasy’s main character, this year the main focus of the competition will not be Cloud - this year, the focus of the competition will be Nintendo’s soon-to-be-released game Super Smash Bros: Brawl. That’s right, not an individual character, but a whole universe to gain inspiration from.

Task
The competition’s task will be to create a piece centered around two things: Christmas, and the world of Super Smash Bros.: Brawl. So, create the most Christmassy-Brawly piece you can! You can be as creative as you want, and use any media you like to achieve your piece's final look. Below are links to the game’s official site, including characters and overview for those unfamiliar with it.

Vital Information
Entry: All you need to do is send a note to either ~Whirlpool-Fishcake or =NightIce, telling us you’re going to compete. From then on, you’re in – nothing else required!

Media: Any media is accepted, be it traditional, digital or something a little different.

Submissions: One piece per artist - upload it as a normal deviation, and send a note entitled ‘Submission’ to either ~Whirlpool-Fishcake or =NightIce with a link to said deviation. Deviations will be compiled into a list and featured in a journal after the submission period has ended (period starts December 1st).

Deadline: The deadline for the competition is 12.00am December 24th, Australian Eastern Standard Time (GMT +10). Have your pieces in by then, as judging is set for the following week.

Judging: YOU will be the judges, not a panel of controversial mule-headed dolts as is normal. You, the competitors will judge the pieces. The system of judging will be elaborated on after the competition’s deadline.

Prizes: Subscriptions! Yes, subscriptions are on offer for the first few top places in the competition. First place will recieve a 3-month sub, 2nd place a 1-month. 3rd place is not a sub, but a request from the competition founder, ~Whirlpool-Fishcake.
