The holidays are usually a cheerful time, especially for children. But imagine you (or someone you know) is a child spending this season in the hospital.

The Greenville Hospital System in South Carolina has established a Virtual Toy Drive for these children, and you can make a difference by purchasing any one of the items featured on the site, which is linked above.in our Virtual Toy Drive. All the items have been identified by Children's Hospital staff as needed to help them in their efforts to go beyond providing traditional medical care.

If you want to help, but feel you cannot afford to help purchase one of the gifts listed, a donation can be made to the Drive, which will go toward purchasing some of the items along with other donations.

The goal is to meet the psychological/emotional needs of these children as they undergo their treatments.

It is my hope, as the writer, that those of us that can help, will...and that perhaps, one day, I can help further this toy drive by starting my own Drive for other Children's Hospitals around the world.
