Baron Samadhi is a relatively unknown disco rock band from Melbourne, Australia.

To quote from the website: "Appearing from a mysterious point of origin and now based in Melbourne, Baron Samadhi is a chameleonic funked up four-piece party band unable to commit to any genre but fairly accurately described as “Disco Rock”.
The sound is a dangerously spicy blend of Disco, Soul, Reggae, Dancehall, Jazz and pinch of metal thrown in a dance party pot and boiled till the lid bursts off.

Starting out 5 years ago as a light hearted attempt to fuse the brooding sexual presence of the Doors with the funk of James Brown, Baron Samadhi has sped through countless sagas, setbacks, resignations, disintegrations, floods, a dozen line-ups, triumphant tours and disastrous charity concerts, whilst playing hundreds of shows around Australia from kids parties to biker clubhouses; and despite all attempts to exterminate it; still refuses to die."


Only an estimated 400-500 fans exist. They currently aren't signed with any record label, possibly for moral reasons, or because they don't have enough people tuning in.
