A new club opening on January 1st 2008. It exists to celebrate the face in all its forms, whether it be beautiful, ugly, transcendant, resplendant, pained, joyful, melancholic, young or old.

Accepted mediums will include: traditional art, digital art, sculptural, artisan, photographic and literary.

The club will celebrate it's opening on January 1st with a Grand Contest. See the details below:

Competition: 'The Face of 2008'
Hosted by *Le-Visage

This competition is to celebrate the launch of the new club.

*Le-Visage A celebration of 'the face' in every shape or form; old, young, beautiful, ugly, distorted, transcendent. Represented by all mediums; traditional art, digital art, photographic, sculptural, artisan crafts and literature etc.

The competition is to create a piece of art either visual or using the written word that celebrates the ‘Face of 2008’, and in a way that encapsulates and portrays the face within a contemporary context, e.g. THE FACE OF 2008.

There will be a winner and two runners up for each category, and just ONE overall Competition Winner. However, if I decide that there are not enough prizes to fairly distribute between the categories and runners up, then there will be only one winner per category and the overall winner.
