Holiday Journal Feature – Best of 2007 – Accepting Entries

It’s that time of year again in the midst of the Holiday joy and spirit – the 2nd annual Holiday Journal Feature (which is obviously going to be in my front page AND in the news). This time, it is going to be at least slightly different.

To participate in this journal feature, you, the entrant, must show to me the one best and most polished work that you have ever completed this year. What kinds of works are accepted here? They can be one of the following: Traditional Art, Anime/Manga Traditional Art, Digital Art, Anime/Manga Digital Art, Photography, and Photomanipulation.

Don’t worry about whether or not one or more of your works is going to have a spot in the feature because there will be a place for them. How do you want your best work(s) to be displayed in the spot? It all depends if your work(s) are good enough among all the entrants.

Now enough of this seemingly useless chatter, here are the rules:

RULES:
- ONE deviation per person per category. (Post its thumbnail/link)
- The deviation in that category must your best and most polished work in the year 2007
- The categories are Traditional Art, Anime/Manga Traditional Art, Digital Art, Anime/Manga Digital Art, Photography, and Photomanipulation

ROUGH FORMAT OF FEATURE:
- The bulk of the feature will include the top five works per category (there are six categories total). They will be displayed in the form of thumbnails. Each thumbnail will be accompanied with the name and avatar of the artist who worked on the deviation represented by the thumbnail. The top deviation in each category will have a special mention of some sorts. The winners of these spots will be notified.
- Below the top five thumbnails in each category are all the deviations of all the entrants in the form of regular links (in no particular order). Accompanying each link is the name of the artist who created the deviation.

DEADLINE FOR ACCEPTING ENTRIES: Saturday, December 22, 2007 11:59 AM PST
DATE OF FEATURE: Tuesday, December 25, 2007 (Time TBA)
LENGTH OF FEATURE: Until the very end of December 31, 2007.


And what is the catch of all of this? Nothing! However, I am curious to know what you think is the best work that I have created in the year 2007. In this case, post a link/thumbnail of that work accompanying your entry.
