Alright, so welcome to another edition of Mini-DDs! The lovable set of features showcasing DD-worthy artwork, etc., etc. This week, though, I guess you could say it's a little bit special...

Why? Well, this is essentially the last "traditional" batch of Mini-DDs for 2007. We'll be celebrating Christmas & New Year's for the next two weeks, so now is the last week you'll get to see a crop of "normal" Mini-DDs (well, as normal as it gets around here).

And since it's the last of the year, you've got to go out with the best, right? So I'll just say that I really love this week's picks, & I certainly hope you enjoy them too! Enjoy, & I'll see you here next week for a little Christmas party (speaking of which, any suggestions for good holiday-themed Mini-DDs?)!

An amazing portrait of some of the best new characters I've seen here at DA, CM, TF and BM poster by *RavingG is a true labor of love with excellence oozing out of it from every corner. From the slick style to the amazing colors to the great amount of detail right down to the clothing & poses, everything here makes for one cool & lovable piece of work that deserves all of the honor it can get. And P.S., I would so buy a copy of it.



Yes, =DamageCult has already received a DD just less than a week ago, but how can you ignore something as eye-popping as Daaamn? The name appropriately sums up my initial reaction to it, as I was blown away by the neat concept, the funky designs, the cool style, & all of the sweet little touches right down to the little splatters & the eye-catching paper texture. Simply put, this rocks!



~eewnice's "Monster Invasion" pop-up book sounds like quite the intriguing concept, & with excellent illustrations such as Monster Invasion -pg4 in it, I can't wait to see the final product! Cool character design, a nice mix of colors, great style, & it even feels a tad frenzied to boot...Frankly, there's nothing here to hate about this beauty, so go on & fave it already!



Ah, *grau-gestreift...Your sleek & killer canine creations are always an amazing sight to behold, & bubblegum.breath is no exception. From the great mix of bright & dark colors to the ridiculously fun & cute character to all of the little details right down to the background, everything here just mixes together to create one sweet piece of work that is not to be ignored.



Yummy Muffin by *SuperFex...Because anything featuring colorful, animated muffins truly has to be excellent, right? Fex's amazing style combined with a great amount of creativity, a barrage of bright & lovable colors, & a good amount of detail all add up to create one intense & fun piece of work that you definitely shouldn't pass up. And really, who doesn't love muffins?



Being a sucker for amazingly twisted & well-drawn designs straight out of Threadless, there was just no way that I could resist buildings for hors d'oeuvres by =kayne. Everything here from the cool style to the unique color scheme to the sweet monster design (with the wicked pose) is absolutely stunning, & it makes for one awesome picture I'd definitely love to see on a t-shirt (or anywhere else)!



...Remind me to send a thank-you gift basket to ~daGroove for providing some truly excellent artists here at DA with the ideas for truly eye-popping pieces of art, like with ~Infantmind & Dia de los muertos. Sure, it's the wrong holiday, but that doesn't stop this from being a vibrant, cheerful, & lovable Deviation jam-packed with several cool details doubling as decorations. Gotta love it, plain & simple.



The date of expiration by *Pallala is a haunting piece of work with quite the impressive story behind it. Now thrown in a cool style, a perfect color scheme, a chilling mood, & a great amount of detail right down to the amazing perspective, & what do you have? One stunning & slightly creepy Deviation that will definitely blow you away.



Red Hot Robot by ~SteamCrow is a piece of art perfectly works as several different things: It's an impressive poster design, a cool ID, a profile of a fun little character, & a showcase for the artist's unique style all rolled into one. Colorful, cute, & all-around excellent, this is one Deviation that you definitely shouldn't miss out on!
